Quote from the Financial Times today:

Revenues look like it is flattening out.

Nice break below support today, now a bounce back up or a small test of resistance will set up a nice short.

I currently holding 2500cfs of FSR....but happy to take profits going into futures close out.

But will buy more if any pullback to that R42.50 level....

yea my chart says that 43.00 is a nice level. This trend is strong..

I'm holding on to FSR yes, maybe I'll have a look at SOL.

Hey Ninja.....great additional buy at R70.90, especially with that strong close upward to r72.45 :) !  With futures close out and today being the last day to trade the WHLN, I think it will continue its upward trend.....I'm looking for a short term target price of R77!  (That would reward me handsomely to buy a few more SHF)....

Anybody tempted to trade the dividends declared:?

The dividend of R1.5 of SHF is very tempting to overlook...(about 2.3%) but only 7th Nov 2014 LDT

Plus SOL (R1340 = 2.1%), plus FSR (R97 = 2.1%) both on 3 Oct 2014 LDT

I'm holding on to FSR yes, maybe I'll have a look at SOL.

I wouldn't take a trade on CFR just yet. Though its near strong support at that 100.00 level, its currently below the (48)EMA and (100)EMA, and the BB's are contracting, which means a break is imminent, up or down? Who knows, if I took this trade, I'd wait for the break first to get some idea as to the direction, if its up I'll enter a long @ 100.00 with a target at around 108.00. If it breaks to the downside and violates that 100.00 level, I'd wait for a bounce back up and take the short. Just my view. Plus the MACD is below the 0 line, looks like it will head up towards it and reverse.

Quote from the Financial Times today:

Swiss luxury watches to handbags conglomerate Richemont has reported weak trading in Asia amid the Beijing government's austerity drive and pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong, while Japan's thrifty consumers continue tightening their belts. In a trading update for the five months to August, Richemont said that its overall sales grew by 1 per cent at actual exchange rates, year-on-year, a performance that it described as "subdued".

Revenues look like it is flattening out.

Wow that bounce really ate into my profits. Still sticking to my strategy though, put a stop in at breakeven

What does futures close out mean?

Woolies long causing me too much pain.... Fall was sharp and quick from R84 to R72... Boom boom... Bounce or further to fall?

Seems to have broken upward trending support at R81.80 level, then that drop big drop to R72 level (where I bought).  Seems to have now broken below 200day Ma (on the daily).....see support (s1) at R70.50 (think it will end above that though)......and (s2) at R67.

On the 17th of September the company is due for a trading statement release for the five months ended August 2014, and a dividend of CHF 0.14 (163c) is to be paid on the 19th of September.

Previous results for the year ended 31 March 2014 indicated and increase in sales by 5% with satisfactory broad based growth, despite operating margins being down 22.7% primarily due to unfavaourable  exchange rates. Cash flow has still been strong and profit for the year was up over 3%.

The price of the share has been in a consolidatory phase for an extended period of time with resistance at around 10390c. The weakening rand, leading to higher earnings and a potentially positive trading statement release may very well be the catalysts needed in a break above this level for traders looking to take advantage of an increase in share price.  The higher lows in the flat top/ascending triangle also points to what is generally considered a bullish consolidation and traders would be looking for a break above the resistance with an increase in volume for confirmation, the RSI preferably above neutral of 50. Caution as the share price should adjust in line with the dividend being paid on the 19th September, and alternatively a weaker set of results for the trading statement for the period could potentially mean a break below the diagonal support and retracement to 10000c. The share price is trading below the 50day and 200day moving average with a “death cross” (50day crossing 200day MA) having formed recently; perceived by some traders as indicative of a share in a bearish trend and usually reinforced by high trade volumes.
