This does not look like good news for Ellies:

Does anybody know about the claims that Super Group have on Ellies regarding the early cancellation of their services?

The amounts claimed are as follows:

• Disputed delivery and warehousing costs of R3,49 million.

• Alleged loss of profits R37,23 million.

The AGM is also coming up in early December. This should give a very good of where they are in their turnaround strategy.

PS: the interims might not be out by then.

Hopefully, there will be a trading update to say that they've exceeded last years results by at least 20 %

Thats purely because the rest of the market is still weary or may not realize that the company is on a positive trajectory. These interim results will shed light on where the company is headed.

Welcome back Spell Jammer. I just needed to say something to get you here lol. But in all seriousness, despite indications of profit and a turnaround, the share price is at a year low. Why would shareholders be selling?

At a low of 17cents!

Seems like someone knows that this share is going to tank

Why would the share Tank at this juncture?

Salkow's wife  bought  2 million in Feb at 39 cents

You're correct there. It's interesting that more shares were not bought when it is at half the price level it was when she had bought it. If the share is a deal, one would think that she would buy in more. And the share price was hovering around 20c before the closed period so directors could have bought if they had seen value. Maybe they're waiting for the share price to move lower?

Sorry these are my thoughts before considering to buy in.

Taking this into account, it does seem like it can be a positive strategic move. Would love to see management buy shares to show some confidence.

It would be, but I assume they are in a closed period with interims due next month.

2nd SENS Statement from Ellies for the day and another change to management where the company's secretary has resigned and been replaced.

Will be nice to see some stability soon and get a full time CFO and Chairman on the board. The positions are currently held in the interim while find someone to fill the position permanently.

Could he be pushed out under the term "founders syndrome" on 2nd thoughts..he may be reluctant to change....?

Either way their name & retail presence is the stuff of "mom & pop" safety & reliability.

Happy to hold yet don't want any more...

Upper middle management moving into executive not a bad thing here me thinks....not sure if Ellie Salkow will leave in totality...thought he was driving the retail turnaround strategy...? & how much skin in the game does he still hold or are they shareholder loans...?

All part & parcel of the restructure is my guess as to management shuffles...

Remember they splitting the business as per lenders conditions...

Thanks Soutie. I appreciate the insight and what to look out for. Makes sense if it does relate to lenders conditions. However I would imagine that the market would be concerned seeing the pioneer of the company leave when the share price is at it's lowest.

Looks like Ellies has retired from Ellies. Lots of movement in management this year and interim replacements. Warning signs?
