Thanks. good info JJBen

delta, I agree it still looks expensive but this stock has hardly ever looked cheap. Doesn't give back much in yield either so you really need capital growth to make money. Also, difficult to compare to the sector as the other big local company is rubbish in comparison..Adcock.

A free-float weight change comes into effect the 24th of June. This means that index tracker funds need to reduce holdings in the counter (free float falling from 79% to 60%). source: TradersCorner.

The counter will be under pressure until then, unless the ETF's and UT funds do the adjustments before the time.

I will add to my long-term portfolio now, and more if the price dips below R185.

Do not try and bend the market. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Then you'll see, that it is not the market that bends, it is only yourself.

still a little expensive from a "value" perspective although their FWD P/E is 23.89  what is the average for their sector?

Aspen is down ~16% in the past 30 days. I've been wanting to get in for a long time and this could be the best opportunity in awhile.

Any thoughts on the company would be welcome.

Hi Gamma

I have also been looking at Aspen since they were around R140 bit it shot up to quickly.

To me this is the best Pharma stock in SA with amazing international prospects, Aspen is becoming more and more of a rand hedge stock due to there ever increasing international exposure.

Plus we have the Durban local at he hem which makes it that much sweeter  :)
