Anyone going to the Investor Presentation today. If so can you report back when gets the chance Thanks.

Can't help feeling it's more like a damage limitation exercise though.

Wescoal becoming a value trap me thinks....

Well Well it's all happenin' at Wescoal it seems....Today's fantastic announcement will be completely overshadowed by the ongoing boardroom turmoil me thinks. This should set them up for their mining division to contribute substantially to next years results....we already know the trading division is pumping so if they can quickly establish who's who in the zoo & who is pulling the strings going forward. This surely must be communicated in the year end results as we have a right to know, I will mail them & so should all you, to make sure there is a paragraph detailing this to the market. These recent negative utterances have dented both the credibility & corporate image of what is a real unpolished diamond.

Is it just me who thinks that the Dept Minerals was "timing" the water use licence to favour the chairman.....if so this guy has clout...very good thing to have contacts in influential places time will tell.

Cheers.

In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders
are advised that Mr Andre Bojé has by mutual agreement resigned as Chief Executive Officer
(“CEO”) and director of Wescoal with effect from 14 April 2015.

Yip there's the split or rather get the F@#ck outa here ASAP. Mr Boje is gonners....... this is far from over.......me thinks.
Expect another letter of intent to acquire soon.

Well Well Well there seems to be a few rumbles a rumbling around head office me thinks.

Yesterdays SENS hints at a split plus given the chairman's purchases last couple days says he wants a bit more control....? 2 more directors to be appointed by ...?Well they must hold above 5% for this to be taken seriously could be that Cornelius V/D Weshuiszen he should still have a good few million from the minoscape transaction.

They haven't updated their shareholder analysis for a while now, back of the envelope calcs put chairman's holding somewhere near 20% after swapping out of the BEE thingy last November. If tomorrow brings with it another big buy SENS attributed to him rumour mill will get going.

Definitely hitching the Wescoal cart to Eskom & making sure they comply with not only the Mining charter regs but also Eskoms procurement regs as well.

One things for sure while the squabbling goes on the trading arm MUST be pumping & @ R460/ton (if that's to be believed) expect even better results in the coming years cos Medupi & Kusile still to come online.

My 2c

Any other thoughts...?

WSL is starting to remind me of Steinhoff where so many analysts were calling it around R20 and it barely went anywhere.
But boy when it started to run, it went like a bullet train.
Come on WSL - run baby run

I wonder if someone is going to be smiling broadly later on. 170c is already a huge discount to Keith's fair value of 240c. The 200c resistance line seemed to hold temporarily, but there were too many aggressive sellers :/

Latest opinions on this one?

Share price dropping - any major news (after cautionary pulled)?

Director's buying, but fairly small amounts...

Sent off a mail to the "media handlers" hoping for some clarity on the break-off of talks.

Market hates "talks have been terminated" only rhetoric. Leads to all sorts of usually negative sentiment.

Will report back if there's anything to report.

Soutie.

I can only speculate and say that I hope that management simply held out for a great deal for the shareholders.
I do think management have done a great job so far and growth prospects seem to be strong

Ah well nothing is for sure in life.

Deep down I is pretty pleased it's fell apart. I is just a little over exposed now....

Will re-assess when results are out.

Wonder if Billiton's guy will stay on....? For what though....?

Came across this couple days ago.

All the more reason to land an "legitimate" BEE coal trading company.

Yip I sure don't get it either....1 thing that is niggling away is STILL no Elandspruit approval. Forget the proposed buy-out production from Elandspruit would surely get WSL re-rated.

On the buy-out it has to be above R2.50 so even purchases around where we are at R2.10 that's a nice enough kicker. I have no spare cash other than flog my Jubilee dogs arse but just can't bring myself to take the hit..... :(

Need some news soon or Mr Market will get fed up & move on.......to be continued.......

What baffles me is that the share price is not reacting to the fundamentals in the company, nor this possible buy-out.
