Since the release of Gold from the fix against the dollar in 1971, the chart has traversed four cycles and has been negotiating the fifth cycle since 2016. Each upwardly motive cycle consists of five Primary waves. The completion of five cycles produces a Supercycle. Now it appears that Primary wave [4] is concluding. Next up is Primary wave [5] and when it completes so will cycle V and Supercycle (I).

The projection shows the target for if cycle V is the same as cycle III. It also shows the projection for if Primary [5] is the same as Primary [3]. These projections share the same target almost exactly.

The leading diagonal pattern for (1) is forced by a news-driven sentiment of sell-the-fact. The location of (2) looks to be established but the rush from gold into general equities and Bitcoin needs to be sure of a balance with retained gold holdings before the gold rush can begin.

I have tried my luck at both GFI and HAR when i thought the time was right...but the world is such a mess at the moment that its impossible to predict. Lesson learnt.

The chart is now tired and needs to take a break to consider if 2021 has any chance of actually being with lower and lower risk.
