Can anyone recommend some good American \ Canadian wealth managers?

I want to take some money offshore but also have those offshore investments linked to a non-South African bank account.  I have my South African RAs (balanced funds) - looking for similar products overseas that I can just invest in and forget and let it compound over a couple of years...
