On a T/A point a close below R224 area today would indicate a move towards previously noted R216 area IMO.

Gonna get nasty......

Yip there it is R224 now resistance

Not sure, sentiment based on oil price, not sure if there is a sens due in coming days and weeks on legal challenge from those holding adrs... Would be a bargain based on 7x multiple.. Wohld be better if 5x multiple

Firmly in the clutches of the shorter brigade....Cup those balls & hang on 10yr low of circa R216-7

Bargain or foolish bottom picking.....Come on what say ye band of "investors".....?

I'm for bargain...Just scratching for some spare cash....

Would we expect this share to be under longer term pressure if lawyers can point to management irresponsibility.... Excluding oil fluctuation, company debt, and earnings fallout???
Any technical assessments?

JSE, Sasol, SOL

With no other consideration than the lines on this image below please observe with me and check the Cycle degree correction consisting of Primary waves [A][B] and [C].
Whilst wave [C] has within it a wave pattern of 5-3-5 with the second 5 slightly extended against the first 5. Then the final movement of the [C] wave indicates a divergence with the low lying RSI.
These things strongly suggest that the end point for [C] is quite closely hereabouts.
And so does the alignment of [C] with [4]. And so does the Fib ratio of the extension of [A]

Old story: https://www.biznews....-listing-threat

Been flagged as at risk of suspension. How the mighty lose the plot. Lazy, stupid, arrogant, typical?

Wreaks of incompetence but the probability of large scale corruption glows in every African sunset.

also from twitter - https://twitter.com/...629789043568640

as far as i know there was a report issued by IHS that Sasol's new ethane to ethylene cracker at Lake Charles is still only operating at 50%. I haven't seen the report and looks to be dated the 18th

Expect a short term pump with oil price hesitancy... But still expect downward pressures heading to financials due to delays, and other potential redflags.
Love this share and buying anywhere under r250. Plus minus 18 usd per share..for a long term hold....... Oil glut cyclical. Dividends subdued for limited period to reduce debt levels.
. Stating the obvious....

Hi

Any views on Sasol as a short to medium term buy?

Thanks in advance

PS: Sorry, but I couldn't find  an existing thread on SOL

Here it is...

Cycle degree correction appears concluded. Long term bull follows.

Nosh, depends on your risk appetite. Head and shoulders played out and probably better to wait for a break out above 290 .

Also, am self waiting for 31 October results , am concerned about the internal auditing of financial controls. A SENS on that may cause movement either direction.

Lastly, possible pollution issues you can research and possible stronger than anticipated competition for LCCP and huge debt. Will likely not pay dividends this time around

But way undervalued because of all of above and lack in trust of management
