Hi. If everyone could stop selling at 300, that would be great!

Agree...

( I don't have subscription to news24 so not 100% sure what entire article says)

Sasol aims to restore its dividend, as soon as it is confident it can do so on a sustainable basis, according to chief financial officer, Paul Victor.

https://www.news24.c...siness-20210922

"[Lake Charles] is a substantial growth engine going forward," he added. The plant has also been delivering against objectives - reporting good cash flows in the last quarter it generated $80 million in ebitda. "Yes, chemical prices are going down, but between R500 million and R700 million a month is what that asset produces," he said.

Lake Charles - (AKA - Sasol se GAT) also seems to be making some DOLLAR$ for us.

Sasol seems to be making the right noises. Hopefully we can look forward to share price north of R300 and a dividend in the not to distant future. :)

I assume the market was expecting a dividend. Dropping quite heavily.

Oil giant BP ups dividend and confirms share buybacks as it posts better-than-expected profit

If only Sasol can follow in the same way we can make some money down the line. All due to higher oil prices and hopefully no more major losses on LC.

This take sees more to come..

https://www.tradingv...eEssedrM-SASOL/

I really hope it is wrong. R130 to R150. I can see it drift back to R180 to R190 on no news and a bit of a pullback in Oil to $60-$63 per barrel. Will go high again if they can give a good set of results (even from low base) and hopefully some positive news from LC for a change.

Will have to wait and see.

  1. Trusting strangers on an anonymous chat forum can be a risky business. Even more risky than the stock market.
  2. I have tried to warn the vulnerable, being those without adequate savvy: e.g.: https://swrict.blogspot.com/2018/11/sharechat-warning.html
  3. Vultures circle hereabouts. Give them control and say goodbye to your money.

Results are out.... some gonna take the money...Futures close out on the horizon where numbers need to be massaged to get further up the fund list.

Agree rights issue is somehow not receiving the attention it did when it was on the table. But yeah some peops taking the spoils of which there's lots.

Will wash through but the wild swings of 8-15% are a thing of the past (I Hope) back to a slow grind higher with currency & oil price blips along the way.

My 2c

Very healthy recovery today so far, I was starting to get very uncomfortable with sinking so far into the red. Wish KIO would follow on after their stellar trading update yesterday.

To my untrained eye it appears as though there is a bit of a resistance level around the R200 mark...I was really hoping it would break through this morning, but no such luck.

Maybe there is a delayed response tomorrow, today in general was not a good day for my portfolio.

Think so too - that it was mostly market sentiment that kept it down. Hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. I really doubt that the "no rights issue" was fully priced in.

Hmmmmm. Peculiar. No change in price. Come on USA. Wake up and smell the SENS.
