credit crunch? meaning retail sales? on resources you are traditionally looking forward to effects of the typical january drop in the ZAR.
-- this year my concern is that it is election year in several emerging market countries - Zuma is bound to win again so expect populist decisions to the detriment of sound economical decicions.
and anyone thinking that the next Zuma term is going t usher in better stewardship of the SA ship is deluding themselves -
Sorry, thought you were referring to LEW. Im a 100% with you with regards to Zuma and the economy. In my opinion if the ANC plays the wildcard and replaces Zuma before elections then ANC still have a chance of retaining majority of the votes in SA. The way things are going, i don't see the ruling party dominating SA.

thanks, but doesn't the credit crunch affect sales around January?

and the view is that they are not overbought simply bec the wharehouses are full , lots of new production capacity comming on line exasperating an already over supply with iffy global growth they say - but my take is resources time to come SEptember or Aug 2014

Have you still got SBK?
I took profit this afternoon with the spike. So I am out of all my positions (equities that is) and sitting on cash. Will only speculate on the ALSI/TOP40 now before the New Year.

IVT shooting through the roof in recent weeks...
Bought in at 109.64 a little over a month ago.
What ceiling should I be looking at here? The share is currently trading on R129.45.
