Guys guys guys.... Plz do not fight the trend. Do not trade resources long finish and klaar!! Only shorts!

Yes if you want to buy  exx imp and agl etc, I say buy now for  long term only!!! You will then be smiling when the cycle reverses and 5 yrs from now they could double up minimum!! But to trade them, you will  get your backsides burnt.. these are all falling daggers and it seems worse is not over yet for them. In fact far from it! I added IMP to my long term portfolio yesterday and also considering Exx and ARI only if they pullback back another 10%!!!

When the blood is in the streets and everyone is running thats the time to buy. Think I will take a phased approach to this. There are 3 outcomes. If they go into liquidation we can expect at least R57 a share (tangible NAV). If they get taken over there will be a premium over current price to get control. If they sort labour issues out and get back to normality then the rise could be very significant.

For the potential return its an acceptable risk.

The other big plus is that they no longer have any interest bearing debt after the rights issue which makes them all the more attractive as a takeover target.

Lonmin is now more than 50% cheaper than its worst close during the crash. Current price is significantly below tangible NAV and recent update is not at all bad. If it doesnt work as a trade I will put them into my long term portfolio as a buy and hold.

Hope this isnt a falling knife!

Long limit order placed.

Yes, I'm doubling up as well; just hope it's not a slow move up.

Imp reaches its all time low...back to 2007 crash level.!!

Anyone brave enough to go long here???

Has to be a good long term buy here though!!

Don't know where it's gonna find support any time soon...?

Lonmin out on strike till thursday.

Calling for the closure of the regional NUM office

AMS did cave IMO to political pressure.

Perfect storm surrounding IMP.

Don't try to catch it.... short the bounces.

I said tight stop loss????

Plat getting hammered today! Strikes to start soon.. Id rather cut now and get out!! Sorry BBW

It's there..., but not too tight; scared of the traders with all the inside info and stuff; been stopped out too many times on turning points before. Or am I chasing ghosts?

Lon looks a good long with a very tight stop loss.. Despite furnace problems reported last week when price dropped towards R36.00 , she is now above R41.00!

Looking at yesterdays sens, Glenmore (Xtrata) have been buying in open market to increase their holdings to above 24% now.

This is very good for its share price. If these guys can pick it up dead cheap in open market, they may finally get what they want..ie a controlling interest!!!

So bid side may push price up slowly..make sure you got a stop though!!
