I thought I'd share this bit of information with you CML guys . I just found out last night that STD Bank OST now has CML as a CFD with gearing of 15 times ! No shorting though. This after  I moved my money from them to buy CFDs at Investec and IG in July this year.  Investec gearing for CML  is 6.6 times and IG gearing for CML is 5 times. Thanks STD bank for sharing even though I had sent them an email in June to query why they didn't have CML as a CFD!   Anyway I am moving my money back to them.

Use it , lose it... ;)

Do not try and bend the market. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Then you'll see, that it is not the market that bends, it is only yourself.

Should this be enough to see it to R95 by year end? It's good enough for me...

I punted 96 but looks more like 106.

put it this way

1st half - 163 cps earned.

2nd half - 217 cps

Total ~416cps which is 110% more than prior year.(198cps)

In short...staggering.

add to that AUM of 492B over 339B last year is 45%!

Means almost 3B is flowing into Coronation every week, 52 weeks a year...

I neglected to mention, this puts the PE back under 20 and a PEG of 0.2

Am I getting it wrong. First half year was 88% and full year estimated at 110% so second half was only 22%.

Yes, it's comparative period

Coronation is pleased to report to shareholders that for the
half year ended 31 March 2013, earnings per share and headline
earnings per share is expected to be between 80% to 100% higher
than that for the prior comparative period.
Coronation is pleased to report to shareholders that earnings
per share and headline earnings per share for the financial
year ended 30 September 2013 are expected to be between 90%
and 110% higher than those for the prior financial year.

The first half of this year was 80+% up on the first half of last year.

This year is up 90+% on last year.

Ergo, the second half of the year was better than the first.

I doubt it. The second half was not as good as the first.

But first half was 88% and full year around 110%. She might tank now.

you are probably right on the 40% call though keep in mind they will be reporting against full year earnings 2012 (217cps)

Mid year already 178cps so if you x2 = 360cps which is a 65% increase. or a 55% to 75% range if you work off 340-380 cps.

Considering that 6 months ago they reported around 80% increase, I feel that the market will not be happy with anything less than 40%.

Thats the problem...that statement they issued 'considerably higher than 20%' is creating a lot of expectation.

I dont think the market has a clue but I would guess if above 30% then more upside. If less than 30 then perhaps a pullback

Any idea of what the market expects the HEPS etc to be?
