Thanks, will check IC out. Liquidity won't be important (being a long term trade), as I'm trying to take advantage of the difference in exchange rates, i.e. receiving +-40% interest on my short BRL position and paying interest at less than 1% on my "long" USD position; if buying USD/BRL? You think this could work? Might be that I understand things totally wrong?!

guess i dont have to tell you about swap or carry trade so your plan sounds good, but im not sure which broker will give you that pair. the broker will also tell you what the swap is. usually these trades are clever when the direction is clear and not huge swings

if you find a broker pls let me know

I find trading like body surfing, catch the right one and you will make it all the way to the beach.

that is a minor currency and I would be careful, but i have never looked at this one as a strategy. not sure about the volume flow on those pairs and FX dealers are like casinos if you dont use the right one

i use IC markets to trade FX - the ECN platform (these guys dont 'steal' as some we have come to know in our country...

FXPro also offers the ECN platforn and MT4

Anybody knows which FX brokers offer trading in BRL (Brazilian Real)?

Does it make sense to sell (go short) BRL and buy USD or EUR "LONG TERM" in order to take advantage of the interest rate difference? Brazil prime lending rate: 43%?

Do not try and bend the market. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Then you'll see, that it is not the market that bends, it is only yourself.
