Yes, i've seen that article.
In my city we have had endless problems getting deductions for PPS contributions for the income protection part.
Hopefully you can get it off. We still waiting to hear about our last submission.
It still seems as if they want to stop it all next year though.

Will be surprised if you have any joy on this from SARS. Many of the tax offices will not allow an income protection as a deduction. As far as I know the tax law has also formally been changed as from next year in order to disallow this.

I also tried but seems that you can only make corrections to the page/s you filed and can't add anything more to it. I need to add my trading profits that I neglected to do but unfortunately can't.

Hi,
 
I have received tax certificates for my income protection policies, however i realized that i didnt declare it for the 2011 tax year. Can i just add the total for my 2011 contribution to this years contribution? Or do i need to amend my old tax return and re-file it?  I did not see any place in my old tax return to declare it though, since the format has changed.
