Haha and what about the ones who bought at 290.wow.abil schneid them all.

Sent from my D5503 using Sharenet Sharechat mobile app

You got that right. Got my first batch at the bargain price of R2.69. Did another deal this afternoon at 30c. Average price paid is now 47c. Pure casino type punt. Either win or lose - no in between.

Tough luck LT
I learned a lot today. I'm 6 months into my CA articles and have saved 25k this year which I've been investing. I've read 3 years worth of financials for 15 different companies as part of stock research this year and have a long term value approach towards investing. However yesterday I stupidly bought R10k ABIL at 2.50 per share and didn't get my sell order through in time before the market closed. My 10k is now worth roughly 2k. In a way I'm happy I lost this money as I've learnt a valuable lesson about greed and ignorance.
I have been a long term guy for many years and started "trading" a year or so ago - imo there is absolutely no similarity between investing and trading. I am far better at the former. I have a feeling you are too. Don't forget, 90% of the people who get sucked into trading lose over the long run. Be suspicious of anyone who tells you otherwise.
Thanks shortboy! Yes I've always had a passion for LT investing and stayed away from the speculative side. This trade was exactly what I needed to keep me on the right track.

No, not gambling on these shares for the long term
Just doing day trading to recoup some of the losses
Yesterday had a good day. Got in at 30c and sold for 90c
Today doesn't have the wild price fluctuations of yesterday, so its been a bit more challenging
Just got in at 30c too! My position is straight forward - I either make a few 100% or lose the lot - the amount involved will not cause a life changing situation.

I guess guys are out drowning their sorrows after yesterday or celebrations for the few that were able to take a profit from yesterday's havoc

I'm doing a bit of a gamble again today
Queen B, I bet you will reap the rewards, when they announce the turn around strategy, and telling the market that the Big guns are forking out the R8.5bln you will make your profit.

I am pretty sure these scumbags will be saved somehow. Whether it be the gov or shareholders.
I also suspect so aw well, CML, PCI, and the likes have reputations to protect as well. I don't see them saying sorry we ***ed up and walking away. When I saw that PIC saying they are giving ABIL a week to come with a turnaround strategy, I thought well they have a lifeline. They will bs their way to the R8.5Bln again, just like they did in December.

Bit rough eh...!
Gotta remember their mandate is to make available funding to people who are excluded from forms of funding EVERYONE on this forum has access to.
Hence the premium they charge is way excessive. But if you live in a shack in a township & earn R3500.00 a month. The big 4 will show you the door..!
Anyone need a heads up...!

Gamble? Might do so when it goes under 10c.
Market cap as at yesterday is 750m ... and they need 8.5B ... says it all
