Yo,

Hope this helps, find attached.

Much of the thankfullness  :D That'll give me enough meat for back testing.

For Metastock EOD data you can contact:

support@pdsnet.co.za   Tel: 011 622 6767

or visit their website: www.pdsnet.co.za

Thanks. PDS don't seem to be able to maintain their online store, not sure I'd trust them too much with a direct debit for online data services  Maybe I'm being too picky

Does anyone have any pointers for a provider of J200 (TOPI/Top40) data? I'm looking for end of day pricing, hopefully with volume, high and low.

Digging on the JSE site, and their linked "Market Data Providers" isn't really coming up with much of use.

Are you willing to pay?

*edit* If you require it once-off, I am willing to source it for you.  Just give me the time frame.

In the end, yes, I'm willing to pay if the service provides me with the data I'm wanting in a useable format. I guess I envisage it going something like

* Acquire J200 history, perhaps last 15 years. It'd be nice to include some part of a non-bull market

* Collect closing data each day, preferably by something like a simple HTTP request

* Ideally provide a mechanism to retrieve individual past days, in case the daily collection fails

I don't even seem to be able to find the historical data on SB OST...
