I'll have to do the same Yusuf,

So just to confirm that would mean 1 pref for every 100 normal shares held at R41ps?

Elected to take up the prefs. Large scale dumping happening, doubt we'll see value unless we take them up 😭

Magnet despite my advise in the Abil thread, u lost money listening to some green new member who sold youll wholsale!!

Now do not make the same mistake....Go read the circular issued by Northam again in respect of the NPLs!!  U are not subscribing for shares in NHM if you buy those NPLs...Thats all ill say!!!! Otherwise ill be drivelling again!!

**** cant believe how some people throw away their hard earned monies!!  No such thing as a free lunch on JSE...Buy for 1c or even R1 and expect t make R7.00!!  come now folks...The market is not father xmas!!!

HDB once again thanks for pointing us in the right direction.
I must apologize queen b and magnet, I seem to have misread the circular is received from my broker (which I must say was very ambiguous at first glance)!
Contrary to just about every N share listed in the past 5 years, these NHMN shares do not give us the right to subscribe for NHM shares but rather for entirely separate preference shares. I however still do see value here, and believe we can still eke out a profit and worst comes to worst I will take up the shares and sell the prefs when they list.

However HDB I must defend myself by saying that from my experience the market can drastically undervalue the NPLs for a while before rapidly correcting( which occurred with the IVT NPLs a few months back for example).

Again I apologise guys, a really big mistake on my part, and I hope we can get out of here with some profit at least.

You guys sure? I am terribly confused.  Bid is now 1 cent?  Surely one can make a fortune by piling in here and exercising the rights? lol

lol I appreciate the confidence Queen B  :P

DIdn't manage to free up funds to top up. May sell some of my Kibo tomorrow if I can get 160+ and I'll double up on NHMN.

Could be a multibagger this one, NHM is flying!!

Yusuf... If I follow my rights I can make R7 a share currently (R48 - R41) ? Or am I mistaken? Why should we trade these when NHM is flying....

I have learned to stay calm with these kind of trades

Otherwise I would have had open heart surgery years ago :D

Just play it as it falls

Yusuf is very intuitive this way. He spots these things from a mile away.

Lol how low can this thing go?  Jeez.  Worst case scenario you follow the rights.  So very little Risk in trading it now.

In for 20 000 at 40cents .  only coz Kibo is boring the hell out of me.  Mr CEO needs to deliver some big news soon. but lets see how these  rights games work in the mean time...

Look at the current Curro share rights to see how it usually happens.

1 right has to be exercised to get 1 underlying share.

So if you buy 1000 rights at 77c then take them up for a further 4100, you will have 1000 underlying shares at an average cost of 4177cps. But you will only receive these shares after the expiry date of the NPL'S. That's why the rights need to trade at underlying-strike price to eliminate the arbitrage opportunity and why I'm saying the rights are severely undervalued currently

If you dont exercise your right you get diluted, meaning you lose value on your holding. if you dont have money to take part in the rights offer you are allowed to sell you NPLs
