Interesting. As the business is closing, how are you planning to play this? Sell just before LDT?

Sold ex div today at 270. Not what I had planned, but profit is profit...

My logic sometimes loses me. I want to know "what kind of an investor wakes up in the morning to sell a share at less than what it closed at the day before?"... It does not make any sense to me....

Perfect timing :D

If that's not luck, I don't know what is   Expect a short-term fall in price to the 170c level though as this deal may take a while and investors might feel they can get a better time value for their money elsewhere (similar to what is happening to VIL)

“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. Which road do I take? she asked. Where do you want to go? was his response. I don't know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, it doesn't matter.” - Lewis Carroll

Any thoughts on KIBO, see they have come back to 104cps level?

It's the usual drift in SP as the shareholders are waiting for the big news re: Rukwa Coal to Power Project.

I'm keeping my holding, not looking at the day to day changes as I am sure once the news comes out, the SP will do 100%+ (depending on what size of a cut they get on the deal)

Also one of the brokers, Hume Capital, released a 12-month target SP of 27p+ (500c or so)

Interesting. As the business is closing, how are you planning to play this? Sell just before LDT?

Yip, usually with large divi payouts, the SP rises beyond what it should because of divi hunters buying in. They will probably want to get in as close to LDT as possible so I may have to wait a while on this one...

Yes, that is the one. He picked CIL as one of his 5 stocks for 2015. Should be interesting to watch.

I still hold CIL. Fundamentals are solid.

I listened to a recent podcast by CEO(I think) and I wasn't impressed by him at all. Not just a first impression of a character and ability but also his answers surrounding CVN's strategy going forward. When asked why you are moving into the gold space he didn't even have an answer. Just a vague reason about something like they thought it was a good idea. When asked what you know about the gold mining industry he said I don't know anything! But we know about business and we'll figure it out as we go along.

No clear strategy. Too diversified. Stick to what you're good at.

Won't be investing.

True their acquisitions are very diverse. However, it should be noted that their stake in DGC is a relatively small one, and their exposure to gold mining through GGM is even less significant (as that company is basically a subsidiary of GoldOne).

Their only stake which was major was their purchase of 34% of MRI as it makes them the largest shareholder in it. As such, I would expect that they will have the most input when it comes to MRI.

Also I noticed that as soon as CVN's price dropped below 200c, Investec and Momentum increased their positions. That gives me quite a bit more confidence in Convergenet.

I am however not invested at all in CVN, but I have a relatively large holding in MRI and a very small position in GGM. I am more confident in holding MRI now that CVN has bought in

Thanks, I didn't see the SENS :) Guess I should put my order in at 8c then :P There is really just one seller left under 10c, doubt he will last long.

I wonder how CVN plans to contribute to this business...

Apparently CVN management will get involved, but I think What MRI need is a more time. I know it has almost been 3 years since inception but they only have got going in the last 6 months. So MRI management seem to have it under control.
