Forgot to mention, you have to work out the market caps for each of the top 40 stocks....and also adjust for dividends etc!!

takes me 2 hours every night!!! very complicated excel spread sheet!! Lots of checks and balances to make sure calculations are +- correct!!

 

Takes FTSE, USA, Hong Kong, China and Ozzie markets as well pound, euro,dollar, swiss franc and ozzie dollar foreign exchange differences  into calculations as well!!

 

Its no guarantee but at least it gives me direction...

 

Works best when UK was opening at 10am as then 9 out of 10times  it used to hit my targets by 9:15am!!

 

 

Ps...it has to be updated continuously till  8.59am as swings happen very quickly!!!

How do you calculate this opening underlying value?

i'm getting far to greedy lately..on intra made big bucks closing pos on thin takes but lately raising bar by trying to scalp more than 50p+ per trade is not nearly as profitable for me, just worked better on 50p target system/downside is opening/closing several trades a day(workload intensive)

watch MMs manipulating the currency every morning at 8:30...pound strengthens, markets go down, sucks in shorts and later currency weakens and market shoots up!!

Today and tomorrow will be a volatile day for day trading especially after midday!!

 

The more volatile the day, the more  the signals!! However trying to catch the goods ones are the key!!

 

However if you cant handle the risk, i suggest you stay out of market!!

to keep the stress off, ive moved my stop loss to entry, so free trade!! Whatever happens happens  as this is new learning experience for me!!
