Lower volume on ROC today
I hope its not doing a FFB and going to stagnate now
Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that ROC has reached full value. I hope not

Hi Merlin, I see you also love the RES stable of shares .
My biggest holdings are in RES, NEPI, ROC (got in at 13 bucks, but only materially in the top 10s), SHF.
FFB has done insanely well! Pity I didn't get in earlier. I wonder how much upside is left in it? What do you reckon?
Did you participate in the private placement of Lodestone by any chance? I did so blindly, and it worked out well, but I have no idea how high it will go! Does anyone else have any ideas?
ROC just seems to continue running with no end in sight!
ever since i had FFB, its been moving sideways, there's absolutely no volume at the moment.

Fortune favours the brave, I have over 47% on original position in 7 months and have subsequently topped up at every opportunity.
Having bailed and taken 40% profit on Redefine International, I have committed funds to these two shares for LTP and anticipate reaping a similar reward within two years.
Both are property based off shore with revenue in hard currencies.

A comparative inspection of ROC results for 2014, 2013 + 2011 show amazing increase and development.
For the last half of 2014 for the first time they have bought undeveloped land which adjoins existing retail investments, showing intention as developers of land - which is a new strategy completely.
My share sell strategy is a simple one, buy only a rising share, hold whilst it continues to rise, sell immediately the trend reverses and take profits, repeat process from first step again on new share - ROC trend is very much up so I have (and will continue to) top up my position from time to time.
I got in at 1700 and would sell tomorrow if I thought it had peaked - my view is for about a 3 year hold.
Not at all. That is short term perhaps due to price action. Do they give a Hold Call or a Sell? I'm sure it is a Hold so hold it.

Imara reviewed this share (ROC) as fully valued! Is that a concern?
I bought in and have done very well from R24 to just shy of R29.

I started here with nothing and still have most of it left.

Fabulous, absolutely fabulous.
Yep, 116% up in 14 months and counting.
I just I had more money to top it up!

Hooligan, trust you still aboard ROC for the joy ride.

I am pretty happy that ROC makes up 25% of my portfolio.
Man...it is on a tear.
Should have sold my ATT and added here when I had the chance!

Sugafoot, so far so good -
NEPI up 32% and ROC up 49% since laying my c...k on a block.

Returns in any currency other that Rand welcome Moonraker, Euro shall certainly hold well against the Rand - USD another story.
What is important is their ground breaking foray into the Romanian retail sector which is way undeveloped - I have my boots on this stock.
Watch out for the Euro Merlin. Nepi derives income in Euros, and the Euro is tanking. Some expect parity to the US$.
it might hold it's own against the Rand, but huge rand hedge gains may not be on the cards. Rather worrying because I also
have Nepi in my portfolio. (They do however expect earnings increases of 15% each year for the next 3 years).

Hold thumbs for me Sugafoot, my analysis tells me both these have long legs.
Nepi is focused in Romania which has a lot of catching up to do in Europe, so unless Russian tanks roll over the border this stock has lots of upside left in the price for long term, medium term and short term, every time the rand goes down (which is all the time) these stocks go up.

No other holdings, all eggs in one large basket.
Took considerable profits on Sasol, Redefine International, MTN + Vodacom and disposed of non flyers CML, CFR. BHP + Kumba (just scraped even) and jumped in boots and all to these two sweethearts.
Nice going Merlin. Do you mind sharing your other holdings?
