I invested one third of my portfolio in Hulamin at R5.50.

Its a great stock, great results. Aluminium price will offset the stronger Rand.

John Biccard - who owns 10% of it through the Investec Value Fund - told me he's holding until R10.

So there you go.

Hulamin is sensitive to the USD/ZAR

With rand below R13.00 this will reduce future cash flows

Hence selloff

Have checked the rand aluminium price currently and as per past result. Still the same because the lme price increased to 1950$ from 1713$ at year end, cancelling the strengthening of the rand. Should be another reason for the sell off.

Just on the Hulamin chart... I guess all gaps have to close :)

Haha Im little bit extended on hulamin. Hope my tp of 950c reachable. All depends on the zar/usd. Note aluminium prices gone up since the rand strengthened.

If it want to close gaps only its fine.

I think a lot of people were just holding to off load on good results, problem is, there are probably more people taking profits off the table then new buyers coming in.. might take some time to pick up.

Ok maybe a small factor but in my view its the whole resource sector not only Hulamin. Well I have a lot of Hulamin shares, hope the sentiment turns so that the share price can reflect the true value of the business.

Good results out today. But the market somehow lost its appetite for resources. All of them bhp, assore, south etc had good results out.

Market seems to be very concerned about the outlook. Commodity prices are holding up and these businesses makes tons of money currently, which are not reflecting in the share performance for the last 2 weeks.

Any views on resources in general.

I've played the "range" between 700 & 730 a bit with about 20% of my Humain holdings in CFD's...

Buying today at about 700ish ... made quite a bit already with the initial price run, will hold out for 900 TP at least, they will be debt free soon and NAV way above share price

Ready to re rate again? Next stop 750?

Hulamin seems a little weak lately. Market waiting for results 27Febr? Solid results and maybe nice dividend will boost the share price.

Buy more with the weakness or hang tight for results?

You guys are right Hulamin must be the buy of the month with results out on the 27th. Last year at this time it peaked at R7 with Earning half of projected earnings. Plus, the last 6months the company earned about R7 alone. There was an article that I read last year with the author writing that a Chinese company might scoop them up. Will look for article
