Hooligan - did you apply for the Balwin listing at least? To be expected didn't do much today...

Nope, I'm pretty full on property so no interest from my side.

Sygnia's run is really ridiculous. At an IPO of cR8, almost 100% up?!

On the other hand, Balwins listing today and not much traction? Any thoughts on BWN?

Now now Hooligan :):)

Magda said in a interview today with hindsight they should have done the allocations completely different!

I don't see how they misread the market so badly not to have anticipated such an oversubscription! Complete BS

Bunch of buffoons, they did not get the numbers right.

Pretty rich from a board full of actuaries right

Regardless, I'm sure as I type they are toasting their champagne, laughing it up like french people "ho ho ho ho ho ho", "oooh great success".

Once again the ship sails away, leaving the small investor behind with nothing but cock in hand.

Like a f@cking chihuahua, I peck and yack at the scraps...but no, there is nothing, the prey is swallowed whole by the big dogs.

Anyway, moving on - off I go back to the salt mine of a job they call Barclays Bank.

At least I still have some time left to prepare my anus for the good stretching SARS will administer come bonus time March next year.

:P

@MrSA, did you get a decent allocation to make good money?

@SB45 I only got about R5400 worth of shares, but the share jumped so nicely.

I applied for 10 times the amount that I really wanted - also got nothing.

72% on day one...I don't see the point of setting the price at PP so low. Of course only to the benefit of the bigger players.

Anyhow - no way I will pay R14+ for it now.

Also, as justice...I hope each member of top management gets mugged.

I applied for R55000 of shares and only got R5000  of shares. Still making a R4k profit today, but i am highly p1ssed off about the placement allocations!!!!

Not surprised by that opening this morning ... just wish I got some of them during the IPO

Today my broker tells me I got a big fat ZERO shares. Well Sygnia, get lost. I'd rather own Coronation at these levels

I wish I had that kind of money. I applied through Standard Bank online trading for a paltry R70 000 so I'm getting 3.85% of that. Thank God they are not charging me brokerage!

My broker recons the stock can trade up to R15, based on the hype. I have got no interest in the stock at those levels. Will gladly part with it and wait for the stock to settle

Dump Sygnia on listing day? after it's IPO was (almost) 20 times oversubscribed? Doesn't make sense to me.

Is anyone keeping Sygnia Long term? It seems general consensus is to dump the stock on listing day....

My application of R15 million - got 0% because it was via Investec.

Is anyone doing the same to Balwin, or keeping it?
