Tomorrow TT case continues. I am waiting on a SNH SENS about the TT saga today maybe!!

Getting used to the modalities of the forum
New on the platform but reasonably old shareholder into SNH and strongly believing into it
Why? Because this company since the accounting scandal has just done it right on the way to recovery
And all the basics and fundamentals are looking healthy
So, as we say South Africa is not for Sissi, same is for being an investor in SNH. Rollercoaster, stomach butterflies and rapid heartbeat is part of the game. But hey, big risks, big rewards at the end of the tunnel
I personally hold on to it very tightly and I am a firm believer of the positive outcome overtime

My question is why would Citi Group load there trucks full...and Goldman Sachs loaded there trucks in January already. These guys are in the business of making money....and a you must always follow the money. Hold guys

Can someone walk through each transaction, they buying puts,calls,shares and swaps - why on earth the swaps ? puts and calls i guess for a hedging strategy and just some underlying stock for the hedge to protect

Wouldn't worry too much about your average. All comes down to if you think you can make better returns here or elsewhere with your available capital.

If everything works out there is plenty of money to be made here but the risk is still high.

Haha, just a simple calculation of valuation according to TT old boys. On the discussion with Piet Viljoen TT thinks EBITDA multiple of 12 is fair then SNH EBITDA for the last 6 months (excluding corporate costs) was Eur 740 mil so for the year is Eur Eur 1480 mil and X 12 = Eur 17760 mil. With a total debt of say Eur 12 bil then SNH will have Eur 5760 mil to settle a debt of Eur 110 mil. I hope the judge can use a calculator!

Wow .thanks..... .great responses from DTD, Deltahedge and Squideye.  I hope some  German/ European investors and..of course... the judge read these informative comments. That  urgent appeal to SCA by Steinhoff could  be the just the  right action to get going tomorrow before Netherlands court gives go-ahead for payments to claimants on 16 September. Someone said the SCA can give a judgement in 3 days?

 

As DTD suggested...I have a problem to get another truckload  as I stocked up a couple of years ago when Steinhoff was hitting rock bottom. I have some shares at 97c and some at 124 on another platform.

 

So I think those Steinhoff trains on platforms 97 and 124 have already departed and we'll not see them again.

Any purchases now would dilute my average in these accounts ..but  I am going to make another plan to buy some if it drops below 250 ..which I doubt.

Thanks! I am interested to findout what is SNH lawyers next plan? On previous case TT also won on the high court and lost on the Appeal. From varoius opinions looks like SNH can go ahead and apply for a urgent appeal at SCA. I guess going to be a interesting Monday!

I think now that the vote has taken place in favor of the GS tekkie towns window to negotiate has closed. They will loose this case and have to live with it because of there greed so . They will have to except what they get

So has it been signed sealed and delivered ? Can steinhoff move to stage 3 of restructure yet ?
