I'm thinking it might just be "safe havening". Just about a million shares have traded today. Someone might have bought this morning and then suddenly a 4% increase and from there a self fulfilling prophecy. Unless someone knows about a Gupta deal coming down....

Hi all

Whats up with Lonmin?

Still feel this share is overall heading down. Maybe time to short from R18 back down to R15?

What you all think?

I haven't recovered from there yet. Might try and make better mends this time. If and if they have another issue and if it is underwritten.

Will have to wait and see this one. Will need a miracle to save or a very good PR firm.

If any mining CEO is on this thread and interested in acquisitions.... .. hint hint... wink wink....

I read somewhere, wild speculation, that Sibanye might have been interested at one stage. Still hoping for this one

It is interesting though that one of the major shareholders is PIC with just under 30% holdings. I don't foresee government allowing it to go broke?

That was why I liked the initial rights issue first time I bought lonmin was at that 20 cents a share. Good times.

Slowly approaching bankruptcy. At the current platinum price they are going to be forced to raise debt or have yet another rights issue.
