This 4-hourly gold chart pattern is interpreted using the standard Elliott wave theory. Intermediate wave (5) is now expected to turn into wave [iii] or 3. This will change if the price goes below (4).

Sharp eyes would see that the first 2 is in the wrong place. Alternation between 2nd and 4th waves is by far the normal expectation. If the 4th is complex (with excursions) then the 2nd should be simple (with no excursions).

 

Now the question is what will cause the US dollar to weaken? It could be very useful to know because the DXY chart is now shouting about this prospect.

Hope I havent ''trumped"' up....just bought 10000 DRD Gold but on my equities just now...724....if can sell up 7 percent will be pleased....dont have the stomach for CFDS right now , would rather pay the extra comm and sleep easy...

The daily chart for J150 has confirmed Intermediate wave 5 in progress. Volatile trading experience useful here. Expect at least 2% gap up on open.

This 4-hourly chart for the spot price of Silver sees this correction as Minute wave [iv] of Minor wave 3 of Intermediate wave (3) of Primary wave [3]. This correction is seen to be copied by gold and is already well done with some burnt fingers appearing here and there. The chart for Gold has much the same pattern and wave count.

Old Mutual loses it and dumps their top performing funds. Absolutely insane and with a total nonsense of reasoning.

Not a word out there to explain their true motivation. Clearly there has been a major coc kup behind the scenes. 

Only thing that makes sense is being caught unawares and issuing units before buying the underlying. Now they must make up for the market moving quickly to put them out of pocket. But whilst they have closed the Gold Fund and the Resources Fund to new business, they must run with these until end of October. 

There has to be a ballot of shareholders. Only a small % hold theses units and all unreturned ballots count in favor of merging them into the negative performing equity fund (at supposedly no cost). 

The reason given is that these funds are high risk for investors and the equity fund is much safer. You got that.

Wow. The new Old Mutual looks after investors like they are a bunch of village idiots. Even when they are not.
