JSE, Naspers, NPN weekly

The chart for NPN with adjusted data is seen here to be in Primary wave [3] of Cycle III
The recent sharp dip is seen as Primary [2] from which the pace of restoration indicates the power of fear of the unknown when it gets a grip. And now the fearless take their well deserved profit before the next rumor pops.

Morning all....A if you around how much lower is this think likely to go ....when a your seasonal date for upswing? Dont have any npn at moment just prosus...but been watching it..and international markets.....wonder if china going make up....I don't think so.....trump in weak position with empeachment etc....as this is like game chess...and the quiet patient chinese may be getting the edge....time will tell..

Hi M,

Although October is an earnings season month we are still in a strong downtrend, should get choppy when earnings start this week but still see a lower low as the one we had latter August, focusing on Alsi now but NPN should also turn when it does. So best guess down into around the 24th and strong up after into early November!

Could do some base building around 47k fut then into end of year, seems Alsi is busy with a huge bullish flag for a strong push up first 3 months of 2020...just my view!

Article on Prosus...John Kim initiates on Prosus with a Buy rating and a PT of €90/ R1478. The main focus for Prosus will be on Classifieds, Payments/Fintech and Food delivery which we believe should drive the asset to "Tencent plus" as they continue to grow. UBSe FY20e DHEPS of US$2.13 and FY21 DHEPs of $2.83.

Key reasons for our buy rating on Prosus:
1)    Attractive entry into Tencent with optionality on high growth EM assets which can generate IRR of 17-20% ex Tencent.
2)    Lower dividend holding tax (15%) vs Naspers (20%) and overall lower holdco discount (15%) vs (c35%) for Naspers.
3)    Dearth of European high growth tech assets – which should support demand/flows for Prosus.

Other considerations:
-          Naspers pro-forma holds about 73% of the Prosus. They can sell down to about 70% without triggering a tax event.
-          Expect first US$120bn in dividends

Hi A, is your thinking with alsi npn drop from about 25 august through Oct...thinking going in again long...but want trade it within weeks so thinking with your experience seasonals etc...when you think drop before bullish again...this time think I'll use my equity account to trade...not as stressful...my equities only pay .4 percent each way so not too bad

 Naspers (New York), NPSNY
American punters can now join in the fun. It may take some a few moments to see what there is there is to party about if they have not been paying very close attention.

Yeah.. was hoping for bit more lively increase but let's see..still on my eggs so shove me when you think time please

Hi M,

If you sitting on good profit and looked for a short term trade I would take it, NPN and Alsi quite stretched, they could run higher but expecting a W4 down soon, and lot of events this week that can move her, should be a better opportunity later this week imo!

Higher targets definitely coming but as Db also said, daily indicators getting bit overbought!

Hi A,drone attack seems made us future red..and tencent down today...still hoping for end week rise or any change, Cheers M

Mornings,

Main trend still up but guess she got stretched a bit with last weeks rally, see on daily we outside the daily upper bb so could see some consolidation down into Wednesday (FOMC meeting) before the final surge up, difficult to call the in between mini waves!
