No hdbb that's why I said sell 100 shares and only buy 40% into SIM, leaving 60% cash to hedge for the ride....miles away from a margin call
Even had she bought 60% of her proceeds into SIM at 130c she won't have a margin call, and that's still leaving the 30k seperately intact she has
Sell 142000 x 1.32 = 187,440, say 186k nett of fees
To buy in 300,000 SIM CFD's would have utilised 300,000 x 1.32
x14% Deposit = R55,440 capeesh, that's leaving her with double exposure but only risking 55k, and being left with 131k cash hedge in the Bank, this now would stand at 103k after the -30k movement loss, firs Margin call level is at 122c -34c = 88c
(33% loss)
60% CFD Buyback Scenario:
Had she bought 600,000 shares the margin requirement would have been 110k leaving her with 76k free Cash of which -60k would been unrealised loss till now = left with 16k free cash plus sundry 30k still intact
Take in mind she could have sold the shares last week ( 2 Days later) at 139/140c take interim profit and go short for a short term if the trend indicators pointed downwards...and then go back long again.
Never trade more than max 60% of available Cash as position margin
Happy trading..

Yes, down but cash margin to back me..
Im holding, it's going to hit a brick wall at 110c, major support testing coming at 100c just below..
Im not giving financial advice, im illustrating how to use my strategy and manage small portfolio's to last long term, and NOT just jump after the first dip down, like u would have done, cut -30k im outta here.. :)lol
This lady was down R2,05 x 142,000 shares = so I think she has got pretty much titanium balls to weather the storm out...
-R291,100 this far so -30/60k on key support levels and doubling up in my mind is NOT so much of a risk.. ya well, the share could always go bust after FUM go bust, IF TL don't realise etc. then bust SIM goes..
Anyway im off to do better things with my time..toodless..
All my sums add up,scenario and sums stays the same - can't u read or understand the maths.. ?? Bullhunter can u perhaps explain to them looks like my figures of selling all shares then buying 40% SIM with cash proceeds, then leaving 60% Cash to back makes totally sense to me...no confusion..at all
Have u done a CFD/SSF trade in real life hdbb, otherwise call your broker to explain to you

Mottiar, 110c is major support but it normally dips just below to confuse techinal traders who think it will then go way down, after initially breaking support but quickly then bounces up closing out their shorts....it could prove that my support calculations was 10c out, 12 mth high 200c, pivotpoint 150c, high - diff to pivot = bottom support which is 100c
(Pivotpoint is when major volume selling and downtrend started)
hdbb,
At the time it was thought 130c would be a good long entry level, but in this instance it proved it was premature as sometimes the true good LONG level is -10/-15% further from what we as traders think..
I see it's back at 116c so unrealised loss now current only standing at -48k, i'll wait for 100c to buy in another 300,OOO CFD shares to average down (using max 60/70% Cash margin exposure rule)

IF u a chart reader (trade palm reader) you would see a tripple bottom on today's SIM chart which might send the share rocketing up soon.
twice as strong as a double bottom..
