The NFP will be a event, but it might not be enough to chase bulls away. It might be enough to scare them, but not chase them.

 

Dec 18th FED is the ultimate day.

The US market don't seem to be scared of taper. They are not selling off hard.

S&P still above 1776

 

If that stays above, then 1830-50 is the target forget year end.

 

If there is taper in Dec, it'll cause a minor blip on the S&P. 

 

Not so much for the ALSI and Rand, which will rapidly go South.

 

I went short Rand @R10.10, target at least R11.00 if not 11.50-ish if taper starts.

 

May go short ALSI before Dec 18th, depending on the levels then.

With the 39150 double bottom it looks like that is the base. It really needs to get above 40000 to confirm, and then it's time for that final Santa Rally!

Selling of gold miners at this stage may well be the frantic/panic sellers. Usually the last of the sellers before bottom is in. Clever sellers bailed near $1900 gold price. Traders play risk reward like roulette!! Positive divergence on 6 month chart may just confirm double bottom around $1192 -$1200
