I will be guessing,

But I suspect we might see a bit of red in the morning and then continue higher.

Quike stat I heard on Bloomberg.

For this year, DJ has hit record high 1 in every 4 days. averaged out of course, but what a bull run.

Yes Yellen,,,,,, nothing bubbly here.

I wonder if that was the red right there, I will wait for confirmation of the turn before I go long.

I honestly don't like this at all....we got a lower low than yesterday so need to watch as this can transpire into something bad...daily MACD resting on the 0 line....let's hope she bounces back!

Chubs,

If she clears this then I also see a potential target of 41450ish spot...but for some consolidation before heading higher!

Hang Seng was very strong on MW. Not so. And Nikkei down. And futures not that strong.

I'm always flicking between Bloomberg and Marketwatch and recently saw that their figures aren't always aligning exactly .  (For futures and indices) Might be that the one is delayed or something.

Hey guys I'm a newbie, been following you and appreciate the insight. Just wanted your opinion on how long one thinks it'll take to hit the 41400. Have a lot of open positions with no SL, in a world of hurt 😉. Also keen to know what your thoughts are on today's movements. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Sharenet Sharechat mobile app

Took the long based on what I saw on market watch. Hmm... Not the same what I heard on radio ....perhaps a problem...

Some moves in China rates this morning

  • The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) has injected 35 billion yuan into the money market this morning
  • biggest one-day injection since the October 8
  • 7-day repo rate opened at 4.78% today (Monday’s average was 5.4447%). Anything above 4% is considered quite tight

China tight liqudity conditions are a cocnern

Ichan getting the blame for stock tumble

Billionaire investor Carl Icahn is taking some of the blame for the drop in stocks.

He reportedly said he is “very cautious” on equities, and the market could have a “big drop.” He also said many companies’ earnings are a “mirage,” fueled more by low interest rates than strong management.

Stories of comments like this always pop up after the fact as financial journalists (and traders, to be fair) look to find an explanation for drop.

Sometimes stocks simply fall because they’re overbought or for no particular reason at all. It’s tough to embrace all the uncertainty in markets but it’s part of trading.

Screw him, i buying.

Just as long as Grandma Yellen is around, screw Ichan

Gains erased after Icahn comments

SAYS HE FEELS MANY COMPANIES' EARNINGS ARE A "MIRAGE",SAYS EARNINGS MAY BE FUELED MORE BY LOW INTEREST RATES THAN STRONG MGMT

SAYS HE IS "VERY CAUTIOUS" ON EQUITIES, SAYS MARKET COULD EASILY HAVE A "BIG DROP"

Carl Icahn is getting blamed for the leg down

Some market watchers are not impressed by the recent leg down

Use this chance to buy

Use the oppurtunity to buy, this Icahn guy is a bosso. I'm long Nasdaq from 3385

The story will die down. people will forget it
