Still sitting with my 14 micro short positions. Been averaging up, but looking for a way out now. Although, must say, been easier trading long on the minis, knowing I'm covered, should something bad happen. I really hope Argento's right.

my feeling for today/ next few days::
We have two-weeks of newly placed shorts to flush out. That bodes well for a continuation, especially as the newly laid shorts get squeezed as we set yet another new high. Not a big move higher, but enough to push us past recent highs.
The financially degreed people will have all the graphs and theory (they all went through the same theoretical thought schools) will be reluctant and feel it unjustified, even perhaps unethical, to commit client funds to overstretched markets.
This augers a slow grind up - A high probability of modest gains or a low probability of large losses
....and again: Watch out for those short squeezes up vs sudden outside negative news which could slam the ball down! This is a good place to lock in gains else remain very nimble and dont blink for too long while screen watching..
well, that's my take for what its worth

The first goal is to ensure survival – avoid the risks that can empty your account and put you out of the trading business.  :)

Twitter ups IPO price range to $23-$25, up from $17-$20

Blackberry buyout talks fall apart, new CEO called in. Stock down 20% in pre-market.

Blackberry might end up been bought for pennies, if it continues like this.

Closed all longs at 41040. Futures. Not my target of 41120 but the markets seems a little sluggish today.

Edit: And there she goes and starts jumping. A vindictive vixen she is.

Any sign of tapering, my stop loss will be hit. That will be nothing compared to what i have already taken for the past 3 years.

Any sign of tapering and bulls will turn into bears very fast.

So both sides beware.

When the ALSI tops (green day) around 15:00 on a Monday bears going to smile rest of the week!(not always though but macd's point to a mini correction approaching)

Agree with S on more highs to come but I see a huge top formation in the making...got lots of cycles that will push prices down next year!

XLF not confirming the US indexes new highs and sentiment is getting too bullish (70ish)...

One thing to take note.

The Dow has been on a 6 month consolidation pattern. A breakout is brewing.

When i study the patterns on the market, i find that we wont have a big correction for now. We need to go upwards.

This market is preparing for a big move upwards. In a bull market the last stages are usually the ones were the most money is made.

Most people are expecting a price correction. I think we are having a time correction.

Time correction means that the market does not want to correct lower with price, because nobody wants to sell.

So what the market does is give itself time before it takes another bullish move upwards.

So far the market's near-term correction is happening more in time than in price which remains  a relatively tight trading range.

This is very good news for Dip buyers. I would suggest to only buy, because the trend is clearly upwards.

You don't want to be on the sell side, because when the market finally decides to start moving upwards you will get crushed.

Sell trades will probably work best next year from February.

Treat every dip as a money machine or free lunch.

Closed my ALSI long. Happy for the day.

Taking profit never made anybody broke. Wallet is fat on a Monday. Beats waking up and going to work.
