dont worry it was an error on Safex down I was told by IG - and no triggers went off

Yeah, IG has turned from excellent to scary ever since they switched to their international website..  We could not logon on Friday and they did not have the decency to inform all their clients via SMS when it was back up .  What other options do we have ??

wow! last few days there were trumpets and warning pacards of a definite pull back on S&P500, and with good reason too if one look at the historical overstretched values of this index , and also our equity indexes.

 

yet, when I look at my short T40 ready for a that imminent drawback I am in two minds now reason mainly being that the S&P500 with all the warnings on every wall could not slice through their 10 day MA - some rather poor bear power if you ask me.

 

so a possible short covering might  soon come if the S&P cannot break down 1750 - and after such a short covering spike , some slight down to consolidate and a slow grind up - most of upward explosion over last few weeks I think is behind us

 

so I am going to look for a short covering spike sign on Monday - problem is if you look for signs of a short covering spike one will probably miss it for entry.

All the patience helped. At least you saw what i was talking about when i said PUMP AND DUMP

1st they push it up during US open, then they dump it.

Yip, thanks for that. Should've had more faith. Why is that though? Why and who is pumping and dumping and to what avail?

Sometimes patience is virtue. You can't expect to market to give you money in 15 minutes.

Sometimes a plan works in the last hours of the day. Maybe even end of US sesion.

 

Remember the US need to pump their market up a little, so they can dump it later in the day.

That's what they did also last night. They pushed it to the highs, then dumped it in the last hours

Okay not too shabby. Bought another 2 shorts higher up on the spike. Glad I waited it out. Went from sitting on an almost 3k loss to 2.5k profit. All positions closed. 

Not a bad week at all. About 12k profit. 

 

So now the question is, do we go long for the weekend?

Got stopped out, but it is good, now I can enjoy my weekend.

My last trade for the day was the only one that did not return a profit.

I wont complain about that.
