SAB,NASPERS,RICHEMONT closed down today. If you know how quality these companies are and know the theory of buy low sell high. It should tell you that traders will bid those companies soon. When that happens we will continue higher.

Record highs are coming, just continue buying dips.

Every dip will make the wallet fat

Hi Guys,

I have been lurking for quite some time on the forum (apologies), and recently registered, and now have taken the step just to say Hallo, and to say Thank You for all the valuable information. I truly enjoy and appreciate everybody’s view and input, and hopefully I would also contribute something......

Seeing that I am employed, I do have question's for those who are fulltime Traders:

How do you set-up a Private "trading" Company, where you pay your own salary out of your trading, and is this a viable approach? Or do you operate as a sole proprietor?

Any info on the above mentioned will be appreciated.

All the best

M

You will need about R300 000 to start trading for you to be able to pay yourself.

In a normal lifestyle you would need around R20 000-R30 000 a month

This means you need to make atleast R1000 a day trading.

If you are trading R10 per point this means you need only 100points a day, which is easy.

Once you get the market rythm you can make R3000 plus a day.

Remember there are days which you will make more than 100 points, average points a day is 250 points.

You need to be a day trader to capture this kind of points.

Trading will be your job.

You will make more than your CEO if you have more capital.

Let say you have a million rand account, then you start trading R50 per point. That means you are making R5000 for every 1000 points.

Make  it simple, one day at a time.

From your perspective, Lekkerry is faceless and to a degree nameless, so any opinions expressed are just that, opinions from someone on the Internet  :D

Well done, also still holding my longs from down below!

Going to take profit when she hits the previous high, will probably see the return move follow and will get in lower again!Earning season going to push her higher....

Leaving shorts alone for now, we might see some good downside to play come November (seasonally weak)!

Wondered what happened to your frequent posts......did not know you were trying something else.....

I was certain of a decent drop with the US issues, so took longer term views with shorts.

Still had stop losses in, but just wider.

I can not wait for all the funny money created by the FED to come back and bite them.

The first goal is to ensure survival – avoid the risks that can empty your account and put you out of the trading business.  :)

Ya, well done guys.
My plan from last week was very similar to you's R. Get in as close to 38000 as possible and hold to the 17th.
Instead, I've scalped a few 100 points here and there and then stupidly went short yesterday afternoon.
I got too clever I guess believing the story line was too simple.

Yip, on the one occasion in a long time that I traded against the run of play I've been punished.
Cut the short at 39350 and licking my wounds.
