Nice recovery!! I tried the strategy once or twice as well but I'm still licking my wounds!
And talking about accidents..I forgot to cancel my working order short @ 34440 and guess what..It triggered and then went straight back to 34500(3 contracts!) Ouch...I will let her run a little bit else just close and cut my losses and come in again @ 34700
That dip was a result of this - cut and paste from Marketwatch:
Never underestimate the ability of the Bundesbank to mess up your day.
Here we had U.S. stocks in a nice cheerful rally mode and then those uptight guys go and advise Germany’s high court to reject Outright Monetary Transactions.
It’s not the final word, but as ZeroHedge promptly pointed out, the move does increase uncertainty over the transactions, which would let the ECB prop up all those peripheral economies that can’t get their acts together.
It was enough to knock nearly 100 points off the Dow in a hurry, on slightly higher fears of problems in the euro zone, more economic disruption, and yet another round of meetings to do something.
On the plus side, those high-frequency algorithms don’t appear to be nearly as sensitive to this stuff as they are to fake AP tweets.
