from the looks of it, I think we're going to hit 47250-ish (IG). Maybe the bulls will tire then

Looking at the chart (mind you - this is spot though) if we break higher here the ALSI can really run some more! Or it might be a final washout of the shorts. You can see we bounced on that 61.8 Fib level about 4 times before entering this new uptrend. The trend is still in tact and if that overhead resistance is broken it is blue skies!

*edit* That being said - I won't chase a long here myself. Would rather have some patience and see where it goes.

Final short in at 47,388 signal not yet there but hopefully it should start going down soon. 

 

Looking at the chart (mind you - this is spot though) if we break higher here the ALSI can really run some more! Or it might be a final washout of the shorts. Switching between 5 min and 10 min is dangerous so i will stick to 5 min, will add another short at the next signal and keep watching it on the 5 min chart. 

 

Beorn and RBM are you adding shorts yet?

What a crap day....towards the end took a short, went deep red and started to come back to entry point toward 1720... Then 15 min later, I checked and was nicely 200 pips down...and it just got worse...


Sorry to hear that Plasma, i missed out on ALSI today but had a good run on DOW after a miserable start it ended up quite good. But i think that downtrend line should be breached now, so blue skies ahead? I honestly don't know but daily chart surely looks bullish now

DAX topping into Primary 4 with extended Major 5th in Primary 3rd @ 33% pa 6yr index trot

FTSE100 topping into Primary 4 with quietly Major 5th in Primary 3rd @ 13.6% pa 6yr index stroll

JSE ALSI (fut) topping into Primary 4 with possible Major 5th in Primary 3rd @ index 31.3% pa 6yr index trot

All US indices getting similar countings. Keep counting. Itsacummin, but the bull rages on so long.\

Watch all for rapid cascadement, can be weeks, methinks months.

Eish B, also thought it will be buy and go, but commodity prices dipped a bit overnight due to some dollar strength...so RESIs suffering big time.

 

Thankfully, I had a small holding in Naspers, that's offering some consolation.

Nice going on that Naspers trade, this share never ceases to amaze me.

Missed out on 2 trades, a long around 47,000 earlier and a short around 47,200 because of meetings arghhh this sucks. Is there someone on this thread who can help me develop an automated trading?

I thought today was going to be an easy day for trading. Just go long and close the trade later at the end of the day because of Naspers, but eish this beast has a mind of its own. Luckily i didn't just buy will wait a bit longer for her to show her hand
