Thinking about it, i am so pleased that we left the 45050 to 47166 range. Yes i lost 775 points in the process, but that will not break me.

This distribution is making my system useless in trying to call the bottom. for some reason i get 42455 which cannot be right

I think I know why our targets differ...I include the shadows and you might only work on bodies?? in that case i also get 44200

Will then be an excellent buy for a tiny new high into December (Intermediate V).

 

Looking at the bigger picture Intermediate 1 and 2 of major 5 were both over 3000 points, so given if she bottoms around 44200 in October from the 47200 high it puts her also in the 3000 point range, saying this is still the badboy as per V Intermediate IV!

 

Primary waves is much larger in length and takes a few months to complete that we will see into Q1 2015...but let's not get ahead of ourselves and focus on the price, not assuming anything with her!

 

As per David Petch, a really good longer term analyst this bullmarket only to mature next year around August, also taking the dollar cycles into account!

The SA40 index has broken out of (confirmed with previous close) the range between levels 45550 and 46500 and the downside target is projected from the height of this range at 44630. The price is now experiencing an intraday break of the larger range (not yet confirmed with a close) between levels 45050 and 47160. Should this breakout confirm with a close, it would project further downside to around the 43065.

May I ask if you are safex futures or IG? I see the Double top on my safex futures weekly, but I have the neckline to be broken at 45052 and then if I use MR Bulkowski's percentage meeting price target its a bit down from 44200.

Trading safex futures, know it differs a lot from IG at the moment so be careful!

So the double top pretty much confirmed, when these big moves happen always good to shift to the weekly chart to see where the bollingerbands lies!

 

She went through the weekly middle bollingerband and weekly 21 so the lower bollingerband comes in around 44500, now for a bottom we know she has to pierce through that and come back to create a doij candle!

 

Bringing Elliot into the this occasion there is still a B leg up missing, busy with the impulsive A leg now, so my take 45000 should be the support for the jumping board of the B leg into end next week before the final C leg down..targeting the 44200ish support!

 

Just my view...let's see how it goes!

Made a choice to cut my 45334 long and loose 100 points, went short @ 45030 currently 182 points in the money, but i did lose yesterday about 200 points.

Looks like we might be dealing with a double top with target 44200 futures into October!

 

This looks to me like a serious breakdown!

Did you catch the whole drop from the top and how many points in total did you bag so far?

 

Easy to say now, with day trading you tend to miss these big drops, you did say Sept and October going to be bearish but if you have been short since beginning September into the 18th you would have lost money (1300 points up)?

 

Thought you said we are going higher this morning because of the resources?

 

I say again, very difficult market to trade and hindsight can be a b@tch!

I agree, that even more so when you are a bull or in a bull market, the first part of the dip you miss because you think its a pull-back, the second day most of us make money, as the drop extends at the end of most days it looks like it will turn, so most of us dump shorts and add long for the next day. I agree looking at that nice red line after the fact is very difficult to see during the time. I told you so does not help.

 

We all seem to have the same problems, adding some thoughts and what other members in the group think will do better than I told you so.

 

so does anyone have any idea where the bottom of this hole will be. From my point of view the next decent support is 44700 followed by 44000. if anyone has nay other insights it will be appreciated.

yes it did go up in morning ...BIL was up over a percent at opening...I made over 200p when I closed first thing at opening
