my 2c on BGA
the daily candle from yesterday shows buyers willing to put money into this one - though volume was not that high
interest rate hikes usually helps banks
and GSpot you sometimes get those ones you should not short
I would say if price stays above 165 then up it is...
Appreciate all opinions.....(will just watch the movement a bit longer, esp until after tomorrow's decision which we all suggest is going to be a 50/50 call).

I find trading like body surfing, catch the right one and you will make it all the way to the beach.

My thoughts on it is that it has not fully been priced in as opinion is divided on whether it will be raised. Also banking profits in the USA are mainly due to an increase in retail client spending..by comparison in SA the retail market is suffering. Think the rally in banking is overdone. Just my opinion
Very good point Rolycpt......my opinion on BGA was that from the daily chart it appears to be a rising wedge and the share price trying to break higher (although it did make a new high), but all the indicators on stochastic, RSI, MACD says to me, negative divergence......plus BGA seems to be struggling today (whilst the other 3 banks are flying)......just looks a bit weak.

Du you not think the rate hike has been priced in? so if a hike not much reaction, but if no hike there will be a rally?

Has the rights offer not already materialised, hence the share price dropping significantly?
Anyway, totally agree that the gap needs to be filled.........but will be patient.
glad I waited on the BGA short.......still think we going to get an interest rate hike tomorrow, so wanna short this....
Noticed most shares (including banking shares up significantly).....suppose got to do with global bank's earning results...
