GFI....fallen off the edge of the cliff.  good call Pilot...

So has SGL...would've been a good short when we had all gone long!

Now I understand why GFI turned bearish in one day yesterday!! Some people had seen the results and sold yesterday, before the SENS results announcement this morning.

Luckily I picked it up yesterday with the complete change of momentum and break in trend. And I got a short position last night.

It will probably drop like a stone today!!

Agreed, those results are horrible, Sasol got some gloomy results as well

Ok, GFI and ANG broke trend today and GFI turned bearish with this down move today. I just closed positions. Made some on ANG, but lost more on GFI for a small loss. :(

I have several shares I'm entering short positions on, with closing tonight, and they are in order of preference, with % of total short position.

1) TON - Short 20%

2) REM - Short 15%

3) GFI - Short 15%

4) SHP - Short 10%

5) WHL - Short 10%

These should be good to hold for at least 3 days. All turning bearish and entering downtrend. All should give a good start tomorrow morning.

Lets make some moola back, and join the Bears! B)

I should try be a bit more optimistic especially since SGL recovered from a massive bloodbath this AM and the charts are learning towards positive, to be honest have not been following APN (besides that from forum chat) but will start keeping a look out for a bottom as well, some serious profits to be made on the swing or the ever so chance it drops some more but definitely one to keep eyes on... this and DSY :)

I don't think SGL should be a big problem. It will most probably rally within the next few days.

And then i'm also liking APN when it hits bottom.
I am being optimistic today.
Whats your fews?

@Pilotpilot.....your call on APN for test of 200 MA and neckline then short from 37200 was spot-on.  Hope you made it out of the gold trades with profit.  I have stopped trading any gold counters as they are so unpredictable and also volatile.  My plan was to be in more range bound and predictable shares...........such as APN :) Ironic!!

Ye, not all shares behave according to the textbook :) like APN just did. I missed the short @ R272-50 that next day it tested  :(.

Took a small loss R2k on the gold, but gonna get that back tomorrow when I short TON ;)

my cost was similar to your own, just decided it was either going to be a loser (and maybe more than 3%) and holding for another 4/5 weeks in the hope it would fall would cost far more (in better trades) and actual loss.
