tks Pilot.

I'll take the 5-8% upside for now...

bearish down to where?

After 2008/2009 crash, all the defensive stocks has been the shares to be in. (APN, NPN, SAB, BTI, TKG) to name a few. These shares has run hard , but now investors are willing to get into the more riskier stocks. APN could even go down to the long term bull trend support. (R290-R300). Depending how long it takes.

I would prefer the more riskier stocks for next year or two.

We can all see the Resource stocks turning into Bulls!

thanks Pilotpilot, have been waiting for a 'bounce' almost 10 days now.  I got greedy, had a good profit on the previous run to 40000 and then wanted an extra 2% to 41000 instead of banking.  Will be happy to see a 5% upside which will negate my loss, but been in for almost 6 weeks now - missing lots of very good trades.

APN break attached. Broke 200dma and head and shoulders pattern in last 2 days.

It will probably come back and test 1 or both tommorrow.

200 DMA @ R372-80 and

Head & Shoulder line @ R369-70

I'm going to Short @ R272-50 to R273-50

Hi all the APN longs,

My view on APN, is that it is not a share to go long. Please go see my post with attachment of 29 April to see the head and shoulder pattern that was broken. ()Page 5 of this topic)

The neckline is currently @ R367-80 and the 200dma @ R373-00. 9/10 Indicators are still showing Bearish. My guess is there is only 5-8% upside from here.

On the positive side, it is showing short term divergence, and we could see it test those levels.

I am holding thumbs for you guys it kicks up tomorrow.

hi Walter,

on my FIB retracement have 38.2% @ 14565.  Was concerned we would bounce off that and perhaps take another 3-7% upleg.  Rather than end up 6% to potentially 8/9/10% down I preferred to take the loss now.

@ AJS, yes was in VOD from 14000, added a few to average 14200.  not the best trade but 3% is an acceptable loss.

Lots of divergence on this share. My advice would be to leave it alone for another couple of days or more. My downtrend indicator has not broken to the upside. So more sideways or down  movement expected. 7/10 indicators show bearish, only 3 long term indicators show Bullish.

I would only go long when other indicators change.

We could see a small upside tomorrow, as it has hit a short term support level.

Tks Pilot - will take a sniff if it reaches 7100-7200 level and sentiment changes.  Trading range has also changed suggesting further bearish trend.

closed out VOD short at 14620 for a loss (3%). APN not looking good.

Why did you close your short now? Is there something I am missing?

How? You must have been short way below then I presume? I still have my order in to close a bit lower down.
