grt looks like it could be giving an awesome buying opp for the med term. on a 3 year graph it shows a nice head and shoulder pattern with support at the recent low of 2250. a close of say 2 days below there will be very negative for the long term with an eventual target of 13.00   . i dont see it happening but...(never say never!)

its just an unlikely scenario due to the overall bullishness in the market.

resi stocks are def out performing indi so that is where your money should be(unless you are short indi-some stocks not all)

i like the chart pattern of exx and believe we have a lot more upside here in the medium term.

shes bounced off 160 several times after breaking out from there recently, with a double bottom pattern as well.

so 180 for me is a big possibility !

thanks for your input bulls, agree with all you've stated. i'm long GRT at 2405 regret not doubling up my position at 2250(to be honest was expecting them to break 2100)...guess that's what greed gets me -..missed opportunity

What are the thoughts on NPN boys? Short time?
Careful with NPN. A lot of folk have been shorting it since it was 200. They all have horror stories to tell you!

This is awesome trading in my opinion. trend is your friend. well done man. too many of us on here want to fight downward trends and look for longs. doesnt always work and often end badly.  :)

Took lashing on MSM today :-( Newbie to the share market and was hoping on positive results today. Bought at 155.00 - low and behold, dropped below 150.
WHL bought last week at 64.50 also tumbled a bit. Will have to learn from you guys :-)

Only good things so far is my GFI got at 52.00, IMP at 95.00 and NSP at 692.00.

Got into CML at 68.00 as all of you have been punting. Lets hope it goes up.

Had a great run on MIX at 5.40. Got out at 6.40.

ELI been disappointing to say the least. Gonna hold on tho.
COH got newbie panic and sold at a loss. Now doing well.

So much to learn!

TFG/TRU both trading in range bound territory (TFG R94-R104) (TRU R79-R86). good strategy on your part.

HDB, what you think of MSMs report?

In a tuff retail environment they were decent...but way below expectations or what the market expected!!

This confirms what I keep on saying going forward;

PROSPECTS

We believe that the remainder of the year will continue to see sales under pressure, with the
potential upside being the annualising of the slowdown which started in September 2012. Any
improvement in earnings in the short term will be dependent on our ability to reduce costs. Any
market share gains will be as a result of superior retail offerings.

So they also saying its a tuff environment going forward. However Walmarts takeover only been running a year or so and I am sure their marketing policies, bulk buying advantages, distribution logistics,  and history or cheap retail offerings still holds this company in good stead in the medium to long term. Short term 1 am expecting more pain!

Price wise I cant see price really going down below R140.00 because im sure Walmart will then support the share price by buying more MSM in the open market to increase their holdings!!

Do not try and bend the market. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Then you'll see, that it is not the market that bends, it is only yourself.

Yeah good call. WHL will explode soon. AFS coming. The recent drop is only due to the low volumes from the wait for the AFS and increase the profit taking that is to come.
