Howzit Yusuf... any idea why SGL went down today?with the gold strongly up and GFI up almost 9%

Ninja I had a quick look last night..It was R233 something for a long...Cant remember the exact figure but my view is we may have reached the bottom for AGL so if u wanna go in now , do so but with a stop loss in place

Anglos is building a nice base around mid R225.00.. In fact showing up a like a nice long for a quick bounce up. I would hold and keep a stop around R217.00

 

IMP also moving up slowly . Low of R108.00 the other day was a fantastic price to get in.. Plat has to go up but when is anybodys guess.

Maybe place your stop at previous low of R108.00 and hold on for medium term recovery.

Most but not all gaps close..

and to confirm by an example..

If share A is trading at R100.00 and sens comes out that company will be taken out at R150.00 next month, then share may gap up to R145.00 and trade near that range until company os delisted.. Point being gap between R100 to R145.00 will never close.

Also when company sends out sens saying profit will up 50%..shares may shoot up and gap may never be closed!!

 

Vodacom took a beating last few weeks because analysis were expecting a drop on profits. Sens out today says profits will be up 25 to 30%..I actually see a recovery back to R115.00. Also on charts R108.00 was key short term resistence level which it broke out of with ( Provided it closes above R108.00 today)

 

But hay if overall market suddenly turns and another correction, who is to say this one wont go below R100.00 and gap closes!!!
