considering shorting MTN from 22500.

Any views here?

On technical indicators its a short, but as already noted by Sac1 the potential of their Iranian investment becoming liquid imminently, could put any short at additional risk - I've put another long in at 21200 without much optimism that it is going to hit it soon.

Psg only offer a few shares to trade as CFDs. Mostly larger Coys, will these be sufficient? Or do I need something with more range?

Rather look at using IG

NPN short 198000, TP 192500-195000 in next day or two depends.  Long <190500.  Tencent is going crazy.

TP 194490 closed short :)

hi Delta........am 'relatively' comfortable with the TRU short (8800would be perfect TP!) .....still holding APN from 385zar, also see this is a medium and possibly a longer term trade to mid 400's.  Was away from screen for a few hours, came back to see TRU had been up to 9235 and heading down again.  Did any of your gold trades work out, ANG?

Do you guys know what the IG market fees are? Currently looking at Investec but the brokerage or .45% on exposure seems a little high

I would suggest you create a spreadsheet and run a few examples using the cost structure from various brokers. Include various scenarios such as scaling in to a trade, scaling out of a trade, brokerage fee, commission, entering/exiting a trade over multiple days vs one day. Also do examples with varying trade sizes because there is always going to be a tipping point where a certain cost structure from one broker becomes better than another. You need to know based on your expected trade size where you lie.

I did this excercise a month ago because I was considering changing brokers to IG. It turns out that based on the above excercise IG would be more expensive for me to trade through. At first glance, that did not seem to be the case until I create several spreadsheet examples to figure everything out.

This will be different for everyone depending on your expected trading size and whether or not you reach the various minimums / tipping points. Just because one broker sais 0.3% and another sais 0.45% is only one small part. Make sure you dig into the details.

SBK looking very oversold.

Looking to short with TP 158

Been watching for a short entry, but it keeps shifting up - now looking bullish again.

hello..welcome to sharechat.  regarding platform functionality, IG markets has the best charting/real-time updating of portfolios and running trades.  i  also trade through a bank for counters that are otherwise not available on IG

good luck, feel free to post any questions on the forum

missed my long (from short 9050) TRU yesterday by 4 cents and then lost all profit with the move back up.  Added to short this morning at 9180. Look to TP 8800 and go long again.  attempting 1-2 maybe 3 day trades and turnaround with the range of 8700-9200

Ian..i also went short TRU yesterday @9150 my target comes in 8801

..may the force be with us :)
