Strange that we haven't heard anything from Afrocentric..? Still happy to hold though just on the basis of Medscheme.. hopefully a trading statement or something will come out soon

Seems like its investment in jasco is holding it back...Looking at Jasco, seems like its is in deep financial sh!ts!! somebody is definitely offloading tons at give away prices...and remember jasco could not redeem their preference shares to afrocentrix when they became due..asked for extension..does not look good for both!!

This is my current portfolio. You'll notice I have a big appetite for risk.

Afrimat

Metrofile

African Bank

Zeder

Litha Healtchcare

Village

Coronation Fund Managers

Afrocentric

* At the moment I'm uncomfortable with Afrocentric.  Not a lot happening with the SP

and no information coming from the board.  I've been trying to get hold of

one of the directors there with little success.

Investing in Hard Rock & Heavy Metal.  :D

PAN-AF is a good stock. You might like to add CoAL as a high risk share. The chinese will make sure that the Makhado mine works.

High Risk with regard to Firestone - this could mean high reward one day...

Pan-African Resources and Gold One appear to be doing well.

Still a bit of a work in progress as I buy in over time (dollar cost averaging). Numbers will change a bit, though I expect I'll remain quite heavily invested on the foreign side.

DBX World      (DBXWD)     30%
NewFunds ILBI  (NFILBI)    10%
PropTrax TEN   (PROPXTEN)  10%
RMB Top40      (RMBT40)    10%

Satrix INDI    (STXIND)    30%

Brait SE       (BAT)       10%

Goliath,
IMO your portfolio is very high risk. Would be an idea to have at least 50% more stabilty. Reasonable growth, higher divi stocks.

The calculation does not lie. The price of the share will differ as to what the investors are willing to pay for it.

Yes. TWICE over the past 3 months but it was shorts and not investing. One cannot compare the 2. I also thought the strong climb CML made could head for a short term selloff. This did not happen.

The calculations on FBR are just that. Calculations, and they show Over Valued. Not Over bought like CML was.

My broker is actually a prominent investment and trading Co. Imara SP Reid.

well who knows...they could be right..

then again... There are many scenarios that could prove them wrong. FBR has relatively low debt and we know they are acquisitive. So lets say they use debt to buy a company that immediately gives them a 30% boost in EPS, not too mention more potential operating leverage going fwd. PE drops by ++ and bob's you uncle..they are overvalued (in the brokers eyes) no more.

Not saying this will happen but the point is that brokers advise on what they see likely now..not what might happen (in my opinion). To use your past performance mantra...FBR is acquisitive..so likely they will acquire again.. and as soon as they do brokers will need to re-rate.

Having said that..I don't think we'll see the 90% gain we've just seen in the past year..but 30-40%? I'll take that.
