What is happening to Racec? [RAC]

Why is it dropping so hard at the moment? I saw the SENS about the Sierra Leone dispute, but is there more to it?

DO you think it is still a value pick?

Small company/ bad news = sell first ask questions later.

Will have to reassess after next results announcement.

So, do u still think they will achieve the targets? They are at the initial price (or even lower).

These values are determined using the latest, published results. Of course things may change dramatically after the results and sometimes there is good reason why the share is not trading at fair value e.g. insiders know earnings are not sustainable as was the case with Datacentrix. Based on the latest results Datacentrix economic value has decreased to R4.68 and Sasol's to R422. JD's value  hasn't really changed but market sentiment obviously has (can't measure that). So ALWAYS use a stop loss.

thanks bull.  It's clear that Sasol has been taken hostage by the resource sector's woes.  Year-in year-out they produce great results.

Utilising the dividend cover of a company, the current risk free rate of return available in the market e.g. the the 12 month NCD yield as well as an expected return above that of the risk free rate which will compensate the investor for taking the risk for investing in equities, it is possible to determine the potential, fair value of a share.

Using the above criteria, I'll post the results under this topic from time to time, focusing on shares where there is considerable upside versus the current price
