Hi HDB,

Thank you for sharing this system with us, I tried it out with the DOW Jones Industrial Average and made some profit. I was using Bollinger Bands before but when there was a change of trend it was more like I was catching a falling knife, the 204 SMA is quite useful in showing me whether I should be long or short and I trust the 34 EMA for the entry point.

Will be in class early tomorrow morning when markets open, I kept my long and checked prices on IG, at least I can have a good night sleep.

Welcome to the club Blyth...May you make many more wins!!! :)

Its which way u looking at it from...

Pound against rand or

Rand against pound...

Here in SA we always look at it as rand against pound...

So if rand goes towards R19.00 we say its weakening against pound

If rand goes towards R18.00 we say its strenghtening against pound!!

thanx got it we are same plane,

HDB isn't it a weaker pound goes toward R18.00 and a stronger Pound move towards R19.00. The rest is true on the effect on T40... Correct me if am wrong bro

Suppose GBP/ZAR is R18.

1 GBP buys you 18 Rands.  1 Rand buys you 0.0555 GBP.

Suppose GBP/ZAR is R19, then

1 GBP buys you 19 Rands and 1 Rand buys you only 0.053 GBP.

So the Rand is weaker and the GBP is stronger.

Nopes,,,,complete opposite of what you saying!!

Weaker pounds/ rand mean it goes towards R19.00...Stronger pound/ rand   means it goes towards R18.00

The 264p were supposed to be to the upside as per the rules right?
A weakening Pound means a Top 40 Bull right?
