I don’t quite understand this, I thought that MM make money with the spread and not on us losing money? That for every  guy trading that make money there is a guy trading that lost money and the MM make money either way with the spread? Or is the MM that you are referring to the big investment companies that can manipulate the market to their advantage with the big sums of money they move around?

Thanks

Lets say its the thugs!!!

Ammo used this morning....they took the pound down to being the market down.. squeezed the longs and got in more shorts!!

Now watch the pound weakening again and market going up to squeeze the shorts!!

well done BBW :) ...not easy taking your money when you have wide stop contingency

Yes, still battling to find a good SL 'spread' and very scared of the "hunters", but at the moment not too bothered going long, being offset by my @#$%^& short that's holding me up!

HDB I see the last few trading days we follow a pattern of down in the morning and up in the afternoon, maybe today will be the same…? Looking to go long near S1 later today on CCI trade signal.

Yeah,,,been like that from last Monday....dow futures weak when we open....and then go green on their opening...MM games!!

HDB..starting to look similar to yesterday's action.  big sell pressure on morning open and then gradually chased up mid morning onwards.

Hi HDB

Looking at WHL I notice on the IG chart with the recommended CFD filters, SMA 204 and EMA 34 and CCI 25 that if she has another bad day tomorrow then price may cut below the EMA 34 and the CCI will go below 0. So at that stage for a short trade we will then have tailwinds regarding the 34 EMA but have headwinds regarding the longer 204 SMA. My question is once we cut below the 34 can we go short according to the system?

Thanks!!

Daytrade, i had a look at WHL!!

Although i said use 25CCI, i noticed that yes for most shares 25cci cut gives a good signal. However for certain shares one jas to change the CCI. Users please take note of this. Do a backtest with CCI 25 for the shares you have choosen. See if CCI 25 works, otherwise you may have to change it to a higher figure. I noticed cci40 and even up to CCI 50 works on certain shares.

For WHL , it seems cci40 is the way to go!!

The higher the CCI the less the noise. Also if you want to short a share that is very bullish and suddenly gives you a short signal, my preference will be to use a higher CCI which gives you a better confirmation that you not backing a losing horse!!!
