Haha as easy as that eh
Just my humble opinion...wait until price goes below 2...one funny comment from usa or anywhere and price will drop again, so only a matter of time..and theres a whole month until results....each week shareholders go mad with anxiety and shares drop...

- Trusting strangers on an anonymous chat forum can be a risky business. Even more risky than the stock market.
- I have tried to warn the vulnerable, being those without adequate savvy: e.g.: https://swrict.blogspot.com/2018/11/sharechat-warning.html
- Vultures circle hereabouts. Give them control and say goodbye to your money.

Another problem is that the court cases will keep hammering the share price, that's why I think that the share holders need to reach an agreement with the lawyers to do a swift settlement (within weeks) to their case against Steinhoff, where the share holder agree and accept to get a discounted reasonable settlement (say half) with Steinhoff in exchange for a quick early pay, this will be better than a long trial against Steinhoff where we don't know what outcome there will be (which could take 10 to 15 years, and end up with a small compensation or nothing).
While the cases that the shareholders have against Deloitte, ABSA, Barclays and Commerzbank, former CEO and CFO and their insurances, ...etc. can go to the courts and take the time they take.
Another problem is that the court cases will keep hammering the share price, that's why I think that.

I also think the problem is that Steinhoff is currently trying to sell only the business units with low profit margins, and keep the units with high profit margins.
The problem here is that the nonperforming business units will not sell at a good price, so they should turn them to profitability and then try to sell them at a good price, or else keep them.
I also think that, at this stage, if they get a good price for the well performing business units, then they should sell them to lower the debt.
Eventually keep a number of franchises and assets, that can service the debt and generate profit for the share holders.

Thanks for your comment Tom.
Now one question we should ask is:
What news/information will actually cause the share price to rally?
(Personally I think it would have gone to 0 by now if it was going to)
It's essential to have an audited statement, especially on the JSE, just like all other companies have, which is ( a very long wait ) expected on Mon 31-12-2018.
Also the LUA to be implemented, expected on Tue 20-11-208.
Mattress Firm to move out of bankruptcy chapter 11, expected between 20-11-2018 to 4-12-2018
Next AGM expected to be in March-2018, where the shareholders can vote on the performance of the group and share price, and have a say on what's happening.
I think the less risky way for SNH is to sell some business units and pay down the debt, while I think to try to service the debt can be risky.

hey Larry......what IF the rally started yesterday?
Thing i cannot understand is that friggen drops last week even after positive news was comming out.....now we got no news and its going up?
Last week the whole world markets was in a status of "extreme fear" that the correction that's happening on the US stock markets, might lead to another world stock markets crash.
Even the the sentiments have improved a bit yesterday and today, but the status of "extreme fear" is still there.
