Its a friend of mine : its a De Beers share certificate - don't know the amount of shares owned as i did not physically seen it.

You will need to go to your broker and see if it is still valid or speak to the registrar that you would be mentioned on the certificate

 

I presume there would of been plenty corporate actions (Name change, take over or possible delisting)

 

whats the company of the stock?

Can a person still sell the shares a very old old share certificate? Almost 80 years old
