The first goal is to ensure survival – avoid the risks that can empty your account and put you out of the trading business.

“Could it be that greatness in trading follows the same patterns observed among artists, scientists, and squash players? If so, one would expect the expert trader to have spent a sustained period of time immersed in the markets, following market action, practicing trading, and maintaining a high level of focus and concentration. These are the very same conditions that generate optimal implicit learning. Expertise appears to be gained by maximizing the number of learning trials and by maximizing one’s focus during these learning trials so as to extract the most learning possible. When this can be sustained over a lengthy period, the result is an internalized set of skills that, like the competence of the violinist, cannot be readily captured in verbal form.”… Dr Brett Steenbarger, “The Psychology of Trading”
Also look at Malcolm Gladwell's thinking in "Outliers", You need to be at the right place at the right time and have 10 000 hrs training under the belt. Just to confirm his thinking, read Digging Deep and see how E Oppenheimer made his game, then think about Rupert, Jobs, Gates, Slim etc etc....they may be great but not nearly as great as simply having been in the right place at the right time.

You know A, you mentioned this opportunity a long time ago. Thanks to you I have found it to be a high probability play for scalping as well as avoiding opening shorts until after the event. Thx man!
Anything to help a fellow trading brother!
