I'm soon tired.... really want to just shut up until we have a 1000 plus down day....

I know exactly what you mean. Reconciling what your mind desires and thus hopes for with what is happening in reality. Quite sure trading is the hardest profession because of that disconnect. The people who seem to do very well at this seem to be able to float in the uncertainty of it all.

I'm very glad we only have one of these Naspers type shares. US has Amazon, Netflix, Google, Facebook, Twitter etc. ALSI would be pushing 100K if we had some more listings.

The JSE really needs to do something about limiting NPN's impact on the index. IT's getting ridiculous. We're heading back to the days where Anglo was all that mattered on the market.

we have been waiting for this for the last 3 years... not coming anytime soon. i promise you that. banksters will make sure. Imagine if it does happen? there will be somuch **** and people will lose life savings (pension) . banksters cannot allow this to happen, for now.

It's happened before and it will happen again. I personally have been waiting for 1.5 years and I'll give it another year. The bankers will try to prevent it because they know they won't get away with their nonsense again. But I don't think they can delay it for much longer.

I guess that's the point then. When the Central banks lose the faith of investors the stock market doesn't recover for a generation. Similar to Japan. One can definitely see a scenario when the US economy takes a nose-dive as people lose faith in Trump. Then to test whether the Fed's WMDs spur those animal spirits. If that fails best to just buy some Gold and bury it in the garden.

yeah i guess. a reset will come eventually.

on gold: yes extremely undervalued. been stocking up the past two years. and silver too.

anyone else stocking up on either/both??

We need a trigger. Something that will shake the market and get the first domino to fall over. I don't see that on the horizon but of course a shock can happen at any time. I'm looking at Trump's impeachment as a possible trigger. The debt ceiling crisis is potentially the other. Both of these will take a few months to play out.

What makes you think it'll continue for a few months?

The euphoria will continue for a few months yet. I'm holding short, adding as she climbs. This will be the mother of all drops when it comes.

Upside is there is no longer any doubt the financial markets are in a terrible bubble. Perhaps the biggest in history when you consider bond prices. Very limited upside as desperate and uneducated stock buyers get trapped for the next decade. I truly believe that world markets will correct at least 50% before the bull market can resume. Trading accordingly.
