So we are going to open around 43590. We should be back at 43820 by Monday afternoon.

I'm keeping my longs from yesterday and buying anything below 43590.

I've changed my mind.

Looks like we are coming back to 43731, brothers. Or is it 43810? I think it's 43731. Well, if we do, I'll be closing my long position and going short all the way down to 43277.

Hey, why the long faces? This is a beautiful market to trade. Happy days.

sorry BBW which gap closed?? the 43750 is now closed yes..unless we shoot up past 43750 on the 90 minute chart leaving only a shadow... the 43300 and all them below are not of course closed no... by the way that is a good question...what time frame closes a gap?? a gap cannot be closed by a candle shadow....regardless of time frame...price must fall and a candle body must close on 90 minutes or more..and if not it will certainly go lower and close it...shadows do not close gaps.

Sorry, deleted that. Was looking at it wrong.

and roundtree I always wait for a second wave test to hold 500...then enter a reactive long.... 500 is always the inside / central tend pivot for alsi...and other markets... but so far so good.... there is a 10 point left at 520 this morning ...it should close that before heading higher or lower. ...if 500 breaks 330 is target then round number...if 500 holds 660 is retest target and 830 for continuation.

BBW not at all...gaps are just beacons the market will seek in trending...down gaps will almost always close ..and after 5 years of rising markets many gaps will close leaving up gaps open as markets correct..for some time as they left down gaps open for a long time... gaps are targets to get to... but dont think short term that gaps must close therefore enter a trade for the up gap to close.. if today opens a gap the market is weak and could fall for 4 days.

Thanks a mil Z; will mull a bit over that. Forgot to ask about the time frame. So, it will go back to 43900, in due time??

excellent eveening to you from agent provocateur Monsieur Sauvignon Blanc.

Z, guess you're still asleep after that bottle of SB, but can you please help a rookie; does/should the SA40 Futures ALWAYS close the gap, even the one of last night!??

Only when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked.

1st thing traders will do is reduce their long positions in the morning

Some were too complacent. They even hated you for shorting the market, that's how complacent they were.

As i said nobody will ring the bell at the top. Time to see those swimming naked

Ride on the Bear ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)

About time! I still own a few small shorts from last week....and will continue to hold, but they are causing me pain. Am just so tired of the stop loss hunters that come out each evening....although they are much less influential lately....

Do not try and bend the market. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Then you'll see, that it is not the market that bends, it is only yourself.

I am on the same page. Sold 70% of my long term holdings yesterday, while everyone else was buying..its scary being on your own...

Sjoe! I guess my short order at 44100 (on IG) probably isn't going to get filled by the looks of things tonight,
