Yeah... but keep in mind this is S&P. As we've seen today the ALSI can pretty much stick the middle finger to the rest of the markets.

Sorry, let me elaborate:

Similar to the chart I posted last night.  Put/Call ratio on the S&P is very low. Indicates that there are more puts than calls written on S&P stocks.  Thus signals that investors are expecting downside.  Put option will profit you if market falls, call option if market rises.

I find trading like body surfing, catch the right one and you will make it all the way to the beach.

I still have my shorts T40F's from last night (41229) , and obviously a bit in the red. So I might be brain biased to the Bear side to warrant myself holding for lower levels.

The bull case for T40, it seems is based on a bigger and smaller IHS formation pointing to prior highs++ and obviously the ideal point to short big time - however the same IHS argument was valid for the S&P500 - esp on that SP500 30 min chart - after the whack down last night through support levels (on almost all their indices) that IHS formation is surely null and void - and although a small bounce is probable i to underside of their support, probably now Resistace of 1823-1830 area  the trend is still down and 1813 possibly should be tested this week it seems. And that should help us down as well.

don't miss "die slag van bloedrivier"

Army is probably having lunch first, then clean out their guns.

Think we will fall hard this afternoon, then might climb with US tonight unless US goes red again.

 That was wishful thinking. or in retrospect, it probably was for some bears. Thought we would see strong downward action this afternoon.

hey CP...was just trying to echo the words on Fabes' signature:

"Note to self: Only get on the train once the conducter has confirmed destination and departure".

Sorry for that,

You tell me. :(

I'm changing my coat to bull until proven wrong. Will wait for a nice entry though, but trying to sell a rally in a day like today is impossible. Will buy when we close and climb with US.

The trend for the past 3 days have been up. Where us rookies in this forum normally make a mistake is when we trying to ride the "express train" and lose half our accounts trying to board. November and December bear witness.

Note to self: Only get on the train once the conducter has confirmed destation and departure.

Is there any bulls here? Could have made good money buying the dip today.

The first goal is to ensure survival – avoid the risks that can empty your account and put you out of the trading business.  :)

Anybody have any insights as to what the ALSI will do when the US markets open?

Hey Scot, welcome.

What strategy are you using presently...maybe you can share and the guys can panel beat it for you. Lot's of great minds lurking in the forum...you'll certainly get good advise.

I realised today that my strategy totally sucks. Almost wiped out my account (small account but that's besides the point). I have been reading and strategising, but this is really not working for me guys. Where can I get some clarity on trading, or is this just not possible?
